    Default Correct Mindset

For IM you need correct mindset and consistency and stick on one
niche and keep trying trying and trying, that's the key of IM

I think mindset is probably the most important thing...

With appropriate systems, a good product, nice profit margins, and scalability (the ability to grow as your business grows).

I've found that nothing helps my mindset more than making money.

I saw this little 'mantra' somewhere - Learn, Practice, Preform.

It wasn't in relation to IM but its one of those ideas that Fits All.

    • Learn - knowledge is the most important aspect of your business. Without it you will go no where.
    • Practice - Using what you have learned in a practical and effective way
    • Preform - The implementation of your ever expanding knowledge and developing practical endeavours into a fluid system to realise your potential.

I agree with all of the posts and would add one more. I think the correct mindset begins with an understanding that you have to learn the skills you need to succeed and commit to giving value first. The idea of becoming an instant success is not possible in most cases. Skills + Value = Success

Yes one must have a positive mindset but without taking any actions whats the point. We all know that everything starts with thoughts. But most people forget the action side of things. To get massive results you must have massive actions.

This is what I need. Correct mindset and concentration is very very important in Web related works as the web itself has many ways to distract you. The amount of new stuff takes forever to read that we tend to forget how much time have passed.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to quit looking at all the shiny new things that are out there. The internet when it comes to learning internet marketing is often too full of ideas and systems. The thing to do is to decide who you're going to listen to, and follow, and quit looking at the next sure fire thing that comes along. I went so far as to unsubscribe to just about everything that didn't pertain to the system I am following. That greatly decreased my confusion because I quit getting all of those offers for sure fire success.

    Expect the best,

Having the correct mindset and staying focused is only part of becoming successful. You must write down your goals and a detailed plan including a time frame that will allow you to achieve them. Now I have used the word "focused" but I believe a stronger word is "persistence". Never give up - if you encounter a problem, treat it like a coin, flip it over and see what is on the other side.

having a correct mindset and passion will keep you focus on working on your niche so I would just also add that its important that you really want what you are marketing.

I think you are right here. i have been trying for a long time to find the right opportunity online but I have been carried away with the promise of overnight riches. Not any more though. I am learning step by step and then hopefully over a period of time I will begin to earn some money!!

It is important to be persisten but also know when you're on a path that leads to no-where. Constantly strive to tweak different aspects of your business and improve on any areas which are lacking for better results.

I was not from a business background but throughout my IM journey I have learnt that we must have a solid business plan before we intend on starting on anything rather that just 'going with the flow'.

This will save you tons of time and money. ;)

Indeed. One thing that many of the 'make money fast' programs don't teach is patience. People jump around from program to program because they think that they should be able to make money very quickly, just like the sales page said. Many new internet marketers tend to think there's some magic voodoo in internet marketing that will allow them to make megabucks in a very short period of time.

The reality is that internet businesses have a global audience and the potential to generate much more income than your average corner store - but it takes some hard work just as any business does.

If you look at some of the successful online marketers, many, if not most, have spent at least several years trying and testing various techniques, meeting people they can JV with etc etc.

So, the proclamation that 'I made $20,000 in just two weeks!' may be true but the part that is often missing is 'after I worked my butt off for 2-3 years'.

Getting back on topic though... if you are prepared to put the work in, take ownership of your mistakes as well as your triumphs, and develop a positive mindset and a refined way of thinking then the future looks very bright for you

Remembering these four things will get your mindset into a good and ultimately productive state...

    1. Never invest (or gamble) anything you can't afford to loose.

    2. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
By all means hope for the best... but prepare for the worst and expect nothing more, then you shall never be disappointed nor forced to deal with unpleasant surprises. Being unprepared is the last thing you want to be when the worst happens.

    3. Life is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Like all things in life opportunity is a time limited affair - so invariably, if you don't act promptly you might as-well not act at all.

    4. If it seems too good to be true - it probably is.
There's no such thing as a free lunch and the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. You don't get anything for nothing and there is always a catch.
