where and when to start

Just finished reading Honest Riches and have a head full of information not really knowing where to start. Can anyone give me a push in the right direction? What's the first thing to do when starting you're business?

do you have a domain name? Do you know what niche you are going to work in? Do you know what sort of business you want to run? Do you have a website and hosting?
Do you have written content?
They are some of the first things you need.

I would suggest that you first decide on a niche - an area that interests you whether it be photography, health and fitness, making money on line etc. this will form the basis of what you want to develop on the internet.

Then look for some basic information on Internet Marketing - something that will give you an idea of the vartious ways there are to build a business and make money.

You could search "Basic Internet Marketing" on Google or even "Internet Marketing for Beginners"

I am not being patronising when I use the word basic, it is that at this stage you don't want too much detail. Information overload is the disease many new people get on investigating internet marketing - a symptom of the disease is frustration.

As you progress in this way you will start to get an idea of what is involved and what direction you could take.

You will also pick up the language of internet marketing - any words you want an explantion for look up in You Tube or Google them.

Hi,

I've been an Internet Marketer for around 9 months now. For about 6 of those months I suffered from 'Information Overload' about setting up a business. There was SO MUCH INFORMATION that I found it very hard to wade through it and make any sense out of it. Not to mention all the sales letters that arrived in my email daily each one promising that their program would be the answer.

Set up a budget that will be suitable for you since you will need a domain name and a hosting company if you will want to use your own website. But you can also use a free Blog. If you want to be involved in affiliate marketing, be sure to choose programs or products wisely.

Usually for a beginner, it will take time to learn and experience. I don't think 9 months is enough to learn, unless we are born genius or have someone that had experienced that willing to teach you along the way, which is rare.

I have a solution that i want to share it to you or anyone who need. I actually compiled the method based on years of experience. There are 6 steps made easy, even anyone can do it. I detailed and summarized the method to make money online on my blog below. You actually don't even need to have a website ever. This is a genius idea ;) I hope that will help

I would suggest that you either get yourself a mentor or alternatively get yourself a step by step course to keep you on the right track. This will save information overload. I would also limit the number of lists you subscribe to. Find a email list which provides solid info and not one that promotes every product under the sun.

Take massive action and you will succeed.

Know where your passion is to know what niche would best fit you. With this, you will surely produce quality contents which is very, very relevant in IM.

The first thing you have to think about is what is your goal? Is it $500 or $6000. Is IM a hobby, part time job or full time job. Is it PPC, free traffic? Do you want to learn list building, affiliate marketing, creating your own product?

Figure out your goal and course to reach that goal. Break it down into manageable pieces and you will succeed.
