How many of you use The Law of Attraction to manifest wealth into your business or affiliate marketing? I find that when I really focus my mind on what I really want instead of what I don't want, I begin to see better results.

I'll notice that when I am having a "slump" day, my results kinda stink. I try to turn my day around by utilizing some of the Law of Attraction techniques I've learned about and it not only helps me get what I need done throughout the day, but I usually wake up to a sale or two the next day. Pretty cool!

The things we are attracted towards, tell lot about us, after all we are about our attraction. Note, here I am replacing thoughts with attraction. We in preset are the residual outcome of the past thoughts or attractions. In other words we in present are the manifestation of our past or recent thoughts or attractions. Isn’t it interesting, the cause and effect mechanism, “we are in present are caused by past thoughts”, this incredible fact arms us with the power to manifest what we badly want, by attracting them in present. Law of Attraction a beautiful phenomenon.
If you ask me history of law of attraction, I have only one answer, law of attraction is working the day Universe was formed and the day law of gravity started working. Just that, now we know the name of this beautiful and life transforming Law as Law of Attraction. The discovery of Quantum Physics has been vital to unearth the hidden possibilities law of attraction possesses. Let us all feel be blessed. We must thank Dr. Fread Alen Wold, Dr. Emoto, Dr. Amit Goswami and many more who have given scientific perspective to law of attraction.

I have read many books on the law of attraction. What I have gained from people who use it to a great degree is that it is always working. So what you put your attention to in your mind tends to show up. In other words are you thinking about what you want or what you do not want. The difference can be subtle sometimes. However, if you study the lives of successful people, you can see that they do incorporate this into their lives.

I too love the Law of Attraction principles. Here are a few things I have found particularly valuable:

1. Frequent sense of gratitude for life.

2. Concentrating, visualizing not on what you want but on the feelings you perceive you will experience after getting what you want. It's not the "thing" we really want. It's the feelings we think we will achieve as a result of getting "it". The key into the magical kingdom is feelings (vibration).

3. Always staying alert for your answers. What we might normally consider mundane, everyday occurances like a phone call from somebody or an invitation to lunch, etc. might just hold the answer you have asked for. During that phone call something might be said that gives you the idea you've needed or on your way to lunch/during lunch you might "by chance" meet somebody that can take you to your next step.

4. Get used to saying "Yes" to the opportunities and circumstances (like above) that you attract to yourself. You never know which one might hold the magic you have been seeking.

The law of attraction as you call is a rudimentary way of accepting that everything that happens to you is because of you. Good or bad, you created it and you should embrace it.

Thanks for this thread. I have the book and never finished it, but really got a lot out of what I did read. I'll be getting it back out now. With Fall approaching and my kids back in school, this is the time that I'm gonna focus on my business.

I have purchased one book called "The Secret". What i learned from this book is always be positive, think positive as a result everything you do will positive.

Reading that will be an eye opener.

Quite right. The problem for me with "The Secret" is that it is too general. Conceptually, one can understand what being positive means, but we are conditioned from early childhood to focus upon, scrutinize, evaluate just about everything from all sides (which includes all the negative aspects of something too).

We were so ingrained to be skeptical, etc. that whether we know it or not, we subconsciously booby trap ourselves. While we think we are being positive, we are subconsciously also thinking about the negative side and by doing so we don't move forward.

The best measure, of course, is how one's life is going on a daily basis. If one is not getting at least something close in their life to what they are positively thinking about and even instead getting more of the usual rut, then you know that the subconscious factor is at play.

The best way to approach it, as I pointed out in an earlier post, is to bathe yourself in the Feelings you perceive you will get from achieving or acquiring the thing you are being positive about.

For example, if you want your perfect mate, yes focus on certain characteristics you want in your ideal mate, but more importantly bathe yourself in the feelings you will get from having that perfect mate. It is not the mate you really want. It's the feelings and experiences you will get from having one.

If you want a vacation home on the beach, just remember it's not the home you really want. It's the feelings you will get from being there.

The magic the Universe holds for us is accessed through feeling not through the physical Universe. And, once you get good at accessing your feelings you have to stay very alert because the signs will appear to you of what your very next step is to getting what you want and it can be something as simple as a chance encounter or over-hearing a conversation.

As with all things, practice makes perfect.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers but, in my opinion, the "Law Of Attraction" is nonsense. Thoughts are things and what we think about expands. We create our reality by the thoughts we think and the actions we take. I cannot attract a Bentley into my driveway. I can, however, create a reality wherein this scenario exists.

Anyone who thinks the Law of Attraction is about thinking about something like an expensive car and it will appear in their driveway, completely misunderstands the Law and is mis-guided.

The Law is about attracting the circumstances, opportunities, etc. that will lead one to the next step(s) to getting what they ultimately want. If one stays sharp enough to recognize these opportunities when they happen, they will then be able to take the ACTION(S) necessary to get to the next and the next and the next step(s) until they finally arrive at their goal(s).

The physical universe is an ACTION universe. To make it happen in the physical universe, one has to take action.

BUT, to be effective one has to ATTRACT the best opportunities, ideas, to themselves and be sharp enough to recognize them when the arrive. This is accomplished in the "universe" of thought and feeling and NOT TAKING FOR GRANTED chance meetings, certain phone calls out of the blue, a sudden realization or idea, etc.

Wayne says the exact same thing. He just puts it in his own words with his own twist and charisma so that it's "original" and can be marketed.

Anybody who thinks the Law is about thinking about something and it magically appears has just simply not understood the principle or has too much negativity, disappointment and frustration in their lives to want to.

The "Law Of Attraction" is a New Thought concept originally taught by Thomas Troward in the early 1900's. It's simplest definition is this: Like Attracts Like. The idea is that when you think about something; when you see it, taste it, feel it, smell it in your mind's eye it will eventually manifest in your life. All you have to do is think and visualize and your mind will make it so.

The Law Of Attraction as originally taught had nothing to do with phone calls out of the blue or chance meetings. The idea is that what you think in your mind will be attracted in reality. No action, no work required.

In the 1890's Ralph Waldo Trine taught that thoughts are things and what we think about expands. Let me give you an example: Thomas Edison had an idea, a thought about a light bulb. Had he followed the Law Of Attraction we'd still be using kerosene lamps.

Instead he followed Ralph Waldo Trine's philosophy. He let the idea of the light bulb expand in his mind. He took action, trying this and that until he had a working light bulb. He CREATED a reality that has light bulbs. A thought without action is a sail without wind.

You might say the Law Of Attraction is the get rich quick of the self help field.

Your source(s) of information is faulty. I don't know where you are getting your information but it simply isn't true.

The roots of the "Law of Attraction" is not a "New Thought Concept" with Thomas Troward as the original teacher. Teachings of the L of A had been around long before. It has been given different labels here and there like maybe one of the principles of the "New Thought Concept", but it precedes Troward by many, many, many, many, years.

I haven't studied anything relative to this subject that says "...and your mind will make it so...". Whatever source says that is short of sober. There's no such thing as one's mind making anything so in terms of manifesting something in the physical universe. That's nuts and that is not what the L of A says. Whoever says it does, has simply skipped understanding it.

I completely agree that thoughts are things. There is a mountain of evidence to support that in the scientific field. I know because I had to wade through a ton of it in my pre-med classes. Thoughts have an element of mass because they are given energy via intention. To that extent alone they are "things". And yes, they will "expand" according to the extent of energy (intention) they are given.

What you said about Thomas Edison is EXACTLY the Law of Attraction at work. The problem is you skipped an all important step in your analysis and maybe this is the core of so many people misunderstanding the L of A.

Edison let the idea of the light bulb expand in his mind. Translation: He thought and thought about it with the determined intention and certainty that it could be done. Edison took action and tried this and that... Yes, but what did he take action on?! The step you skipped!

While dwelling on wanting solutions Edison continuously had inspiration, bright ideas of things to try. Well, where did they came from? Did he create the inspiration? No, inspiration comes to us - we don't create it. And that's L of A.

If it was possible for us to just create inspiration on our own, wouldn't you just do it and save a lot of time and energy? I would.

So, correct sequence is Edison is certain it can be done and devotes tremendous, expansive thoughts to coming up with whatever solution he needed for the next step. As a result of his thoughts he ATTRACTS inspiration of what things he can try next. Then, he ACTED upon his inspiration and THAT is why we aren't living today without the light bulb.

Your closing statement really seems to communicate that you are very soured about something and it's not just the Law of Attraction. Sure, there have been and are charlatans peddling some distorted version of the Law of Attraction. Every field has its share of scammers. So what. It's not a healthy excuse for not understanding.

It think the The "law of attraction" is dishonest.

Let us suppose that someone decides they want to manifest a vacation in california (doesnt matter what, but is a case in point)

That someone sends "vibrations out" if you believe in that kind of thing.

(For get the quantum physics stuff....that is certainly complete bunk. ....but I dont dispute that focussing on the goal does make you more single minded, and receptive to opportunities, and FAR less cognisant of the risks)

Then that someone eventually gets the £5K in his or her account needed to fund it, also happens to owe yours truly £5K, ie is YOUR £5K not theirs.....

Then "the law of attraction" makes them believe that the universe manifested the opportunity in their bank account. So they press the order now!!!, and when you protest, they spout all the nonsense about how it is that THEY are keyed into the law of attraction, and YOU are not (conveniently ignoring the honesty of it), thats why they get to go to california.

Moral of the story?

Dont have a partner (or creditor) who believes in it, not if you want to see your share of the loot.... I have seen all sorts of irrational and unreasonable stuff done in the name of the law of attraction, some of which to my expense!!

Law of Attraction is just the latest variant of a Universal Truth that exists from the Beginning. That truth is that what we set our minds to accomplish or focus on that happens.
