Making your Article #1 on Google!!!

Hi everyone,

I was recently told that the key to making your article no.1 on Google
is to pack it with your niche's keywords in specific spots.

Firstly to write the title as the exact keyword e.g. "Migrain Relief"

Than as the first words of your article you sould write your keyword again
"Migrain Relief" is....

Apparently Google love's this!
Add your keyword another two times in the main body...
(For a 300 word article)... and this should do it!!!

Yes having you key word in the title is a must...but you don't...repeat DO NOT!!! want to stuff you article with key words...keep it around 3% that's good for the search engines and will keep it readable.

Then you want to build back links to your article.

Do your keyword research....check out your competition too...

check out the seo section in this forum...there is some good advice there...

If you want to get the most out of any Article, try to always write so its goes viral.
What I mean by that is the more people read your article and republish it, the greater your chances of getting top rankings because to Google relevancy is a prime concern to showing any article in the index.

Your resource box is also another area you should focus. Study the articles that are successful. To many resources boxes are just a bio of the author, but instead should always have a call to action. So if you don't get high rankings you might be able to drive traffic to your offers because your resource box is going to create a curiosity factor with the call for action.

It is very important to

have the keyword "migraine relief" in: the URL (domain.com/migraine-relief).
have the keyword in h1/h2/h3 tags somewhere in the page.
have the keyword in the meta tag descriptions for the page.
have the keyword in the title tags somewhere for the page.

That will be a good start for on-page SEO. Keyword density of 3% is also good. At that point, it turns all to backlinking!

I think google is the first piont of call myself as there is no piont trying
to get a article to front page for a really hot topic if others are in that niche
you may just find yourself banging your head against a wall.

this would be my tip;

goto google and start typing and watch what comes up ok
what did come up ? google is giving you tips there and then of what
people are searching for in prediction of what your writing

Work it to your advantage and look at the competition for your finished
article title and see.

like when i started typing migraine into google it said a few here is one of them = migraine triggers 206,000 results how about even migraines in kids
not long tail but very low,

so that would be my tip before going for a title for a article as the lower search results the quicker you do see number 1

It's quite big, but there's a link to download it so you can print it out and read it at your leisure. SEOMoz are near the top of the tree when it comes to SEO. They have an extensive 'toolbox' and they are constantly testing various aspects of SEO and SEM.

Here's what they say about keyword density in Chapter 9 (Myths and Misconceptions):

"Not surprisingly, a persistent myth in SEO revolves around the concept that keyword density – a mathematical formula that divides the number of words on a page by the number of instances of a given keyword – is used by the search engines for relevancy & ranking calculations and should therefore be a focus of SEO efforts. Despite being proven untrue time and again, this farce has legs, and indeed, many SEO tools feed on the concept that keyword density is an important metric. It’s not. Ignore it and use keywords intelligently and with usability in mind. The value from an extra 10 instances of your keyword on the page is far less than earning one good editorial link from a source that doesn’t think you’re a search spammer."

Just a quick follow-up to my last post. Think about this from the search engines point of view. They want to deliver relevant results. Surely if a simple 3% keyword density had a significant impact on the rankings, it would leave Google wide open to exploitation.

Oh - and don't just skim through that beginners guide. We do that all too often - skim information and pick up a few good points that never seem to be enough to make a real difference. SEO is as important as your content and traffic, so spend an appropriate amount of time learning it.

So what are you saying brian, straight off the cuff write a article and get the article up google via backlinks ???

Words that spring to mind is good luck as in a big market you will fight with big boys who outsource the backlinks task.

at the end of the day, pretty much nobody knows how Google ranks
any content. We have pretty good guesses what works now, but that
may well not work anymore tomorrow.

So, personally, yes, I make sure I have the KW in the title, in the first and
last paragraph, but other than that, I write content that provides great
value to the reader and entices them to click through to my site.

They're the ones paying the bills, not Google (and yes, without Google,
people don't get to see my articles in the first place, so you've got to
please both...)

seo optimizing is basically relevant on page an off page content....key words on your page and in your domain, in conjunction with relevant backlinks, do this and you are pretty good

Actually, if you offer valuable and original content that is sprinkled with your keywords and synonyms, you'll get good traffic from your articles, as well as your website or blog.

The trick to attracting targeted visitors (and search engines) is unique content that offers value and is updated frequently to keep it fresh.

If you want to pull the most traffic from your articles, write a compelling title (with keyword, of course,) use your keyword in the first sentence and last sentence, then sprinkle a time or two in between. Then, you can backlink to (say an Ezine article) from other articles submitted to Go Articles, Article Dashboard, Search Warp and other article directories you use.

I would hazard a guess and would say that you are a Chris Farrell member.
I will offer you some advise here.
What you are saying makes it seem and appear that getting to NO.1 on google is as easy as submitting your article, create backlinks and BINGO you will get to a NO.1 ranking.
Unfortunately this is not the case. It will take a lot of hard work and months of writing articles and creating backlinks before you will see any real worthwhile results.
Don't get me wrong I do believe that this will get you some results but not no.1 on google.

yeah i m agree with it bringing article to 1st spot is a bit easy mark ur competition , build some backlinks with working methods like bookmakring rss submit ion etc etc and u ll be game

I think the key is to consistently provide quality content - or at least what the spiders perceive to be quality content. That's why multipage sites rich in content invariably get higher google rankings than squeeze pages and suchlike.
