    Hello, Hoops–

Welcome aboard! I'd say this "Success Mindset Forum" is as good a place as any to get a general sense of the topics and concerns being discussed. I'd go back to the beginning of the string (series) and skip through the chit-chat, looking for substantive posts.

By the time you get to the "top" of the string, the present date, you may have fresh questions to post to the string that have not been explored enough. At any point, there will be new posts by self-described newbies. My advice is: don't rehash old stuff; the old timers sometimes lose patience with those who haven't taken the time to review earlier posts.

In any of the strings, keep an eye out for Eric Graudins and Bill Vlasik (not sure about the spelling there); these guys know what they're doing and always offer sound advice. Eric has a lot to say about setting priorities and staying focused as a way to avoid "information overload". Advice we should all take to heart.

If you're brand new to Internet Marketing ("IM"), go to Cambridge Business Academy and sign on for Kevin Potts' free introductory book and videos on IM. Kevin really sets the tone for what the entire forum is hoping to achieve. You'll find Kevin's offer on the right side of the 1st page.

Saw you blog post from earlier today. You might consider re-posting it in the Member's Lounge area, maybe starting a new string. It'd be great to identify others who share your interest.

Finally, once you're more comfortable with what's going on, find Paul Lynch's offer of a free .edu web site and go to his first post, early this month, for an extraordinary offer that will speed you on your way, once you're underway...

    Onward and upward

I will start from the bottom up on the blogs and re-post in the member's lounge. I understand the frustration when things are getting repeated too often, though repetition when a blog is so long doesn't hurt as there can be pages of thank yous and simple comments and to sift through the useful content..one can miss it. Thank you for the advice.

I have found that by signing up to lots of lists, I continually get emailed fantastic sounding business opportunities. However, I rarely look at them now as I have settled down with one training programme. Thank Goodness, I am now beginning to see the light.

Overwhelm is the biggest challenge to every internet marketer, though it's greater for beginners. You have to go through a learning phase and if you are attending to other commitments (e.g. work and family) this can be arduous, and, of course, there's a new language to learn. Just pace yourself with the learning and then begin to take action however small. This forum is a great place to start because there is support from like-minded people. I found it best to develop an action plan to focus on the most effective steps

I think information overload is jumping from one thing to another. we must stay focus on one thing at a time. There is so much info out here we have the tendency to get confuse. Whatever you have decided to do stick with it until the end.Try one strategy at a time then move to the next.

I understand completely. I'm there right now trying to figure out where to turn next. When I joined the forum a couple of days ago, someone suggested just looking around and having fun. I've been looking around but everything seems to begin in the middle of a subject and I'm missing how to get started.

for me I have terrible time management and get distracted really easy, plus with working at home I allowed myself to often to get distracted by the kids either to play with them when they asked or take the baby a walk in the buggy etc or get frustrated at the noise they made! My wife thankfully is more organised and now does a daily schedule that I work off and its amazing how more productive I can be

Information Overload can really be a big problem,

especially when I comes to receiving emails. its like trying to do all things at the same time. I can have close to a 30 new mails per day.. some I just file them without reading them, if I had to go through all of them, a day would not be enough!

I have now decided to block a lot of emails from coming in so that I can focus on more important emails. This really works well! the mind can focus much better!

    Focus! Focus! Focus!
