    Uhmm Good question.

I guess that nowdays what we search is fast learning stuff!

When it seems to much to learn I think people seem to back up

Too easy to get distracted.......very tempting to look at the "new" stuff......just have to stay on track.........have to work at it or never get anywhere

Thanks for the input Jim,Ray and Cavero.

Yes... loosing focus and sometimes a sense of miss direction drags a lot of people down the merry-go-round.

    Information Overload - Aggggh!

I remove my self from 2 lists and end up signing up another one! It's hard to get out of the loop.

Many people, including myself, suffer from information overload.

I, for one, an information junky. I collect information read it, read some thing else, which may be at variance with something I read earlier. Now I then have a predicament, which piece or pieces of information are correct, are they both correct but are tackling an issue from a different angle.

Also with so much information it is too easy to become aq 'butterfly' flitting from one piece of information to another, reading all but learning or applying nothing.

What I (and we all) need is a system for taking in the information in bite sized chunks, in the correct order, so that you learn and digest before going on to the next topic so that the whole process is understood. Once we have understood the process we may wish to revisit it and learn advanced techniques. Without a roadmap through all the pieces of information we may try to learn some of the advanced stuff before fully grasping the basics and so become confused and fail.

It is not a bad idea to be on lists to get a feel for what other marketers are doing......

Heck.....sometimes I read spam mail just to look at structure.

I noticed that as entrepreneurs, we easily get ideas that flood our minds everyday, and as Reed stated that a system is necessary to process the information we're attracted to or attracted to us.

If i may add... it's also needed to have a clear direction/purpose as to where we spend our time and what will really give us the results we want or hope to achieve. As an information sponge, I too need to juice up on all possible reading material, but I've now realized that focus accelerates results.

Time management is one of the greatest tool to apply and it really works out
but according to information overload, I agree with Reed. Lots of people reading
it all but learning or applying nothing.

And that's eactly the point, you can read every newspaper or new marketing book but if you do nothing with it you won't get any smarter and it won't get your business more succesful.

Jack and Eric and others, excellent contributions...

If you've seen the video of my with Tom Hua and Brett McFall you'll have seen the advice, to:

    1. Stay focused.
    2. Find one mentor or online coach that has integrity and stick with them
    3. Unsubscribe from all the rest
    4. Get your list of 1-10 actions.
    5. Follow them through methodically until your through and have completely assimilated the coaching....

Only then move on to some different...something more advanced, but even with this make sure it builds on top of what you have already accomplished.

Thoroughly agree coach... in this day and age, it's very easy to get distracted with Email, Text Messaging (Text Capital of the World), other interesting online offers... the list can go on.

The one thing that really got me started in my offline business, which I now sold, was focus on my vision. After a year of being in the cave of internal collection, I understood more about who I am, my loop holes (at least those that are major causes of fear, rejection and insecurities) and other monsters - coined from Nick James.

Love the fact that I can at least focus my energies on the Vision and seeing it fulfilled -not stopping until realized.

Focus is key... aside from the rant... here's a tip... focus on something you want to change for the next 30 days - and evaluate the results. FOCUS for 30 days.

Ohh... hows the Promo technique going? Sounds like it does the job for the immediate stuff (feel free to prove me wrong) - how's it going for the long term assignments?

The launch mechanism is pretty kewl though.

I started doing them myself a while back and it feels great not to see a bunch of gurus' emails every day and just focusing on where I'm going!! The more u read those emails from gurus the more u'll think that the world is broken and the gurus are the only ones who can save the world.
