That's it!

I know it sounds very simple, but that's the only trait whicc determines the limit of your success.We have all read books, been to seminars, listened to tapes - but we just don't take action

We read something and then, do nothing about it.

After a while, a new buzz word hits the net an off we go to buy a new ebook/script/seminar. And then... we do nothing about it.A few more months, we would have read hundreds of books etc, but Z.E.R.O action taken! And so we complain of information overload.

Let's do ourselves a favour. Let's take action now. Massive results demand massive action.

Well, it's a little more than just taking action.

People have to know what their doing and have the right sense of direction. I'm sure we all know what I'm talking about.

If you're not pointed in the right direction, you will never be successful. Or it may just take a lot longer than anticipated.

good post...make it a point to take action on something everyday...even if its small like posting a blog...when you lean something new...do it...you could plan and plan and plan...but honestly...that's not going to make you a dime

The key to progress is first being effective (doing the right thing) and then being efficient (doing it (the right thing) in the right way) and then putting those two together and doing them repeatedly, day in day out.

I think we often put efficiency before effectiveness - alas to our peril and then most of us are just appalling when it comes to the habit of Doing!

In my experience you want to take action from where you are now. Take action towards your goals. That action will include education, getting the right information or advice, etc...And you will make mistakes because everyone does but the successful people learn from them and move forward.

A great source of information is in the book "Science of Getting Rich". Teaching you how, not to do things...But how to do things in a certain way.

The certain way is Truth and how to use it to achieve your wildest dreams.

It’s important to choose your business model, create your plan, planning, goals and stick to it.
You can always change your mind later and pick up something else, but it’s very important to stick with one thing until it’s finished before you move on to something else.

Its been about one year since I really have delved into How to change one Mindset. ( maybe there is e book here) One you learn a few techinques you would be surprised how well your day will go and the ideas that are genreated. Don't let your sub conscious (emotions) overwhelm your intellect

Slow and Steady wins the race!
I have seen many marketing ads that say something to the effect "explosion of wealth" "make thousands of dollars a week starting today", and so on. Now some of these statements may be true , however, it is my belief that at least a five year plan is required. Maybe someone on this forum or at least someone on the Internet has said that hard work is a key to success. Well, I am sure that there are people whom became successful through hard work, but the definition of "hard work" changes from one person to another. Over the past four years, I have been through college full time, entirely(and successfully) raised my 6 year old son on my own, and created an organization. Of course I work on my organization 7 days a week and get out of bed at 4/5 am. Some people call this "hard work", but I say that I have not worked a day in four years sense I quite my day job because I love what I do!!!

I totally agree, but most people don't know how to take action, that's where a lot of time is wasted, thinking about what needs to be done, I personally have a "Things to do list" for each day and I do it everyday without a fail, that helps me to achieve my goals one step closer each day.

It has been my experience that so many people don’t take action because of fear they may not be doing things exactly right, when in fact, taking any action will work, then making corrections, if need be, as one goes along is the best way to success.

I see it as simple as this 'The only secret to success is to Succeed'

Then again to even understand that you have to have the right mind set in the first place. Just saying it everyday isn't going to make it happen unless you know what and how it will happen.

To just 'Take action today' will mean nothing to someone who has no idea what it is they are ment/want to do. It is though great for a opening sales pitch helps to put people in the right frame of mind.

Take action today!!!!

Noobs think you earn online in few daqys by just making a website or something like that ...

BIG MISTAKE
It takes months/years to build a succesfull site that earns and skills or at least money to invest .....

Be careful with information overload and following too many online guru's or marketing folks who think they know everything will bog your efforts down.

Make a plan and focus are 2 factors that have helped me.

I agree with that last comment. Dissipation of effort is a real problem for so many people.

When I was in ministry, we use to use the world SHAPE to help people find their sense of direction and move onto a successful path. It works like this:

1. Spiritual Gift - In this forum I could expand this to TALENT

2. Habits: what you do find yourself doing positively out of habit . For me for instance I know I am quite OCD in terms of planning and projects and so that helps me to play to my strengths in this business

3. Achievements: what have you accomplished in life so far and why and how was that - a good pointer to what you are likely to do in the future.

4. Passion: NO not that kind - the general passion of life, what lights your fire, floats your boat

5. Experience: What does the sum total of your life experience todate show you, how does it guide you?

Find your SHAPE, work with your SHAPE and your SHAPE will lead you to a path called success....I have seen it happen so many times.

As others have said, its not just taking action, its taking the right action, but I see your point. Most people never even start, or they plan and plan and plan, and never DO.

I think the biggest factor is making the decision that you are going to succeed in whatever you choose to do.
Many people don't even think about it, they just allow life to happen and hope for the best. Once you decide to be better and know that you will no matter what the challenges, you will attract your desires, you can't do anything else. This has been taught since time began, and is marketed nowadays as the law of attraction as per the Secret.
