Default why List Joe is no good for me

Hi every one. i want to tell you about my experince with List joe.

In case anybody dont know what is list joe is. Is a site where you subscribe and they sent you other members email advertising there products and you earn credit to read those emails. once you get good amount of credit you will have the chance to send your own email advertising to those same members.

    Well here is the problem.

Since I all ready have my very own product to promote. (that by the way I think is excelent product

) every time I recive an email from list joe I just open the email to get the credit.
Iam not interested in geting a new product at this time i already have my hand full trying to promote the one I have.

So after I get the necesary credits I will go into the list joe member area and sent my advertising email. spent my credit in a second and start all over again.

Yes iam getting more traffic. but. i belive all the traffic Iam getting is from memebers that just want to get more credit. so they can send more emails. Just like me.

3 days ago I sent 2000 emails I get a lot of traffic but not even one free test signup. for me that is unaceptable. 2000 pleople that actually see and visit your site and nothing. And my site is done by profecionals design specifically to generate suscriber. just like most of the business site here in the forum.

Every single member of list joe they all ready have a program or product to promote. that is why they are in the email list, and not interested in your money making business.

so If you are going to promote money making business on those kind of website dont doit. you will waist your time

BUT DONT GET ME WRONG. I did not say list joe is no good.

what im saing is Money making opportunities is not going to do well advertising on this kind of site.

You just need to know what this people are loking for and them sale them what they want.

what the want it come to me. something like "get 5 new custumers every day site" or get 10000 hit to your site or maybe "buy the best computer chair". for all of us that espend so many hours on from of the computer.

so I just look another way to promote my product because Iam planing to stay with my webhosting and domain product

if any body have a comment I will come back here every day and rea it

    Hey Great Post!

I was actually thinking of joining that site but was concerned about the very thing you encountered.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about lists and list building and striving for quality rather than quantity. Like you said, although you are getting traffic - but none are actual buyers so in essence you have not gained.

I talked to a friend last week with a really nice list and he said he is glad these days if 25% - 40% of the people he mails to even open the email - it seems that many of us are getting so many emails we simply look at the subject line and /or sender and delete the email without even looking at the contents.

Sorry, but I can't even understand why you would expect to get any sales from people whose only purpose in visiting your site is to build up credits so that they can send out emails to people who also won't be intereested in what they have to sell.

It's like setting up an insurance sales booth at the entrance to the world series, or some other big sporting event.

Sure, there's lots of traffic. But the traffic isn't interested in what you are doing.

    You've identified the problem yourself.
You're not interested in the emails you receive. Just like nobody else will be interested in yours.

As a business model, it sucks.

    cheers,
    Eric G.
I agree 100%. You hit the nail on the head. I can't see any advantage in using List Joe. Even Google wouldn't reward you for the high traffic flow. The bounce rate would be massive and I'm sure they, and all the other search engines take that into account when ranking webpages.

I have had some success with List Joe a couple of years ago.
But clicking for credits to people that want you to check out
    their deal,

With Safelist and List builders you may get hits but not many
    conversions.

I too agree with the OP. I don't like the advertising techniques based on the principle "let me send your ad, and I'll let you send me yours". People involved in these schemes are NOT AT ALL interested in your products - they are only interested in promoting theirs.

I didn't use ListJoe, but it seems to me that it works like safelists. The basic rules seem to be the same.

Eric invariably does hit the nail on the head. Of course he's done it again this time. They are a complete waste of time.

Thanks for the post - surely building up a twitter following in the same vain will net the same results plus lost of time wasted.

    Thanks Derek
