When I realized that I was passed the half way stage of my life, wondered what I'd done to make a difference and thought....nothing immediately springs to mind...
Then I thought of those who had made a difference to me....One of my first Primary School Teachers...Mrs Rawnsley, who was patient, kind and believed in me....and I still think of her regularly and with great warmth.
And so my ah ah came thundering towards me....I would like to be like Mrs Rawnsley, to be remembered fondly by individuals I touch and connect and make a difference with...
...And that is precisely what drives me in this business on this forum...with my academy...and with my passion for my local community and hurting people.

I have had several Ah Ha! moments but, a year or two ago I saw the movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan (possibly called You've Got Mail?) and, as she had to close down her book shop which had been her mum's, she looked back in and saw an image of a memory of herself as a little girl 'twirling' with her mum. Seeing that movie and that moment made me want to make sure I create wonderful memories like that for my children. Not ones of a stressed, broke, never got time for the kids mum.
It also made me realise that I wanted to become a successful business owner but not in a 'career mum' way, in a balanced way which would enable me to provide them with a comfortable life too.
And the other thing it set very firmly in my mind was that I want to provide my parents with the comfort they deserve as, even at an age where many people are retired, they are still working their socks off!
So, albeit a slightly weird one, watching that movie was a pretty significant ah ha generator for me!

I can't point to a particular aha moment in my life, but as Kevin said, realizing that you are halfway through your life makes you pause and reflect.

Mine came about a year ago. I realized that I have totally wasted it. So, now I am going to live it fully, and not let fear enter anymore. Fear has really kept me from doing wonderful things, but not anymore. I don't know if it is a hormone thing, like a mid-life crisis or what, lol; but for some reason the old fear are pretty much gone. God is working in my life so I can start living it fully, and I am so grateful for that.
With Gods help I will live my life fully and fearlessly!
Thanks all
Mine was similar one day waking up and realizing that with the years
I have left, the only thing that will be left is influence that helps others.
And not get so wrapped up in things and value the moment like it's your
last, because someday it will be.

I had a similar experience as the5sisters, but through another medium
than the video he shares. The a ha experience wheren't just that what
I do makes a difference, but that what everyone does.
We might not be able to controll everything around us, but we can controll
how we choose to react to things that happenes.
Thank you for this topic, Mike, we really need to remember those moments
which are so important parts of our lives.

I took one look a him and thought that i'm going to dedicate my life to making sure that he is a healthy well respected human being and thought that no matter what happens in life, the first moment i saw him will never be bettered.

The older I get, the more "Ah-ha" moments I have.
And...
the more I come here and read and learn, they
occur more frequently!
I'll never forget the moment that I had started to see success with my own business where I felt comfortable that even if I lost my job I could make it on my own.
Suddenly, I was making different decisions, interacting differently with people because I felt there was nothing to lose.
It was at that point I stopped living based on fear and trying to do 'the right thing' and just used my own knowledge and intuition.
Being true to your character and beliefs is amazingly empowering.

Hey Mike and fellow members...
What a great question - very thought provoking!! (Just checking we're not talking the 1980's swedish pop group here...Sorry!)
I remember my first major ah-ha moment was when I had just been into my old managers office for yet another pointless review where he tried to tell me how to do my job better (I'd been in the business alot longer than he and was better at it than he, it was only because he was the bosses son...Get the picture!)
Anyway I realised I could take no more it was then that I committed to being my own boss, I had no clue how, where or what but that was my most important 'ah ha' moment and funny enough since that day I've had many more..!
So I never looked back and took action which we all know is the key - I'd love to know what action I can take to help you grow your business' (be polite!) do get in touch..

Hi,
I can't point to a scrupulous moment in my life, but understanding that you are intermediate through your life makes you silence and return.
Thanks
When the mentor I paid big bucks for listened to my story and in the first 30 minutes figured me out and called me an dummy. He really just pointed out the obvious. It was so obvious, I didn't see it. And that's the crux of it. Most things are pretty obvious - if you're from the outside looking in...
I hope your sponsor also helped you find a solution. You also got to remember that some sponsors don't have your best interest in mind...hopefully you have a great sponsor.

We have all done things that makes us feel stupid, but it's also important to remember that it's almost NEVER your fault, as there are some peolpe who make a living on tricking people. If you haven't learned how to avoid this, then you're no fool, just not fortunate enough to have had someone help you figure it out.
-Victor
P.S. It's NOT your fault!

Oh no, he meant it in a good way. Jokingly of course. Very successful multi-millionaire mentor who travels the world helping people. And no, wasn't my fault at all - just so plain obvious it was funny really. He helped me see that.
