One of the main reasons people procrastinate is they are not prepered for the change that needs to happen outside their comfort zone.

They may get all fired up after the seminar or watching a training dvd but when Monday morning comes and they have to go to work, their normal pattern of life kicks in.

Before they know it, their at home watching TV, having their tea, going to the pub, walking the dog, doing the shopping,mowinng the lawn, etc'

before they know it, the weekend comes and they want to relax for the weekend before they do it all again.

You have to change your normal pattern and identify the things that you should be doing and make them happen.

Hi there

this is so true, I read through the PDF and honest to say I was that before, where I used to put things off and kept saying to myself "I will do it tomorrow" but then tomorrow never comes

I have read through Chris Farrells book "shattering the myth" and that made me think differently and I am glad I did

Thanks for the link - it sure helps to read ways about beating procrastination, but at the end of the day you have to DO something. Read and learn - then make sure you Take Action.

Nice report, quite helpful. I used to be a victim of procrastination for a very long time until I have learn to eat the frog immediately I have it. (I read this from one of John Mason's series). But hey Hudson, your blog is cool and nice, is that a wordpress blog or what type of blog is it and how were you able to manipulate it to that status?

I used to also procrastinate a lot when I was doing IM alone - as I did not have a sense of urgency or responsibility - until I got myself a mentor who follows through with me all the time.

Yep a mentor is critical in my opinion.

Even now I have a well establish forum and academy....I still have mates who operate with different levels of expertise and for me my first year including indepth mentorship....

Of course, that usually costs and not everybody can make the stretch, so you have to trade money for time, take it steady, work with things like this forum, our Cambridge Business Academy and just focus, learn and grow little by little.

One of the first "big" words I learned as a child was "procrastination". Mostly because I was just so good at it. Unfortunately, it is still something I'm "good" at.

I look forward to reading your report and I plan on putting it into action soon (as soon as I finish reading it).

To stop procrastination, know where you're headed. Have a goal in mind before each action. Don't engage in mindless action.

I keep pictures or reminders of my goals with me 24-7. Whenever I delay I realize that I'm delaying the arrival of my goal.

Thanks for this post. If there is anything that kills success fast I think it is these 15 letter words PROCRASTINATION.

The graveyard is full of potential successes buried due to procrastination.
Unfortunately, most of the people living today seems not to learn from the mistakes of the dead.

With procrastination defeated, success becomes easily achieved, dreams realized and desires fulfilled.
