Thread: How Do You Build A List of 200 in 30 Days?

There are three elements to building a list:

1. Traffic - I use forum signatures, article marketing and traffic from my blog.

2. Lead capture - get hold of a free plr ebook or better still write your own report. Google squeeze page template and upload your page (incorporating aweber form or whoever your autoresponder provider is)

3. Develop a meaningful relationship with your list through follow up emails. Probab;y the hardest bit but my advice is to overdeliver in terms of advice and give away as much information on your subject as you can.

The one objection I have to adswaps is that when done constantly, your list subscribers end up on about 10 different internet marketer's lists and at that point, what good are they?

BradBergeron's point about the adswaps is a good one to consider. I'd also consider that too many people are running 2 or more adswaps a day. It sure does piss me off as a subscriber and I've dropped many when I see this pattern. I guess it works overall though 'cause the keep on doing it.

Get an Adwords coupon and run a few campaigns till the coupon money runs out. Should be good for a few hundred subscribers in a few days (no, I'm not kidding, I've done this).

I also got a good amount of subscribers by creating high-quality products and giving them away.

Thread is never too old. Thanks for that tip Duston. I will check it out cause i need to focus on my list some more and stay away from clickbank for a while.

This would be good for me as well, cause my main focus was SEO which I have a handle on at the moment. Next stop, BUILD YOUR LIST! Please keep this thread going!

If you want to super blast a list and get possibly 200+ subscribers in a few days the best way to do it is by purchasing a solo ad blast from another marketer in your niche. This will set you back anywhere from $60 - $120+ depending on the size of the list that person has and how responsive their list is.

One way that has worked for people in the past is to go to the ad swap forums and approach everyone on there and explain you are just starting out and ask if anyone will be willing to send your free offer to their list for you.

There are still some very nice marketers out there. Just remember to keep a list of those that help you out, including their email address and make sure you get in touch with them a few months down the line and offer to send their offer off to your list for them as a way of repaying them.

I've been trying out Giveaway events in the past couple of months. I've had a bit of success, but they are structured to build the list of those who already have one (or some other traffic source) as they all have a point system the pushes those who bring in the most members to the front of the gift catalog.

The real winner in these events is obviously the ones who set up the event. Every contributor and member who signs up goes onto their list.

One thing that I've noticed (not scientific or anything) is that a small event seemed to have better results for those with a smaller list. Although it could be that the niche was a better fit though.

The one that is coming up next that I'm part of is in my signature block. It's the Halloween Giveaway. You can try them out. You'll need to accumulate 15 points before you can put up a gift, but you get 10 for confirming your subscription, 3 for any contributors that you refer and 1 for general members. You can also buy points or take advantage of one of the upgrade offers you'll be presented with when you first sign up.

Most of the other giveaways allow you to contribute automatically and you can add extra gifts or OTO's as you accumulate points. This one is a bit different but I thought I'd try it.

You can also search for "giveaway event" and you'll find some. Usually you'll find the expired ones but they will have a signup so that you can be notified of upcoming events (and lots of other things too 8=). I've found a couple of lists that always give you a heads up of what events are in the pipeline (it's how they build their points in the giveaways).

One thing to keep in mind, they track IP addresses so don't try to sign up several times under your own account to build up points.

These events are a win for everyone when they're done properly. Guests get free gifts. Contributors get their list built (and affiliate commissions on upgrades, etc.). Hosts get a big list built (both contributors and guests end up on the host's list).

Hi I am interested in building a list using Adwords and other PPC search platforms and would like some advice on LP design and quality score.

I am trying to build a list in the health and weight loss market at the moment :-)

Will I get the google slap for sending ppl to just an opt in form style LP?
also what cost should I be looking for per subscriber?

Can anyone give me some advice on other PPC search engines to use beside Google.
