    Default Giving something away.

I understand the reasoning and idea behind giving something for free and what it could mean for my business. My questions is do you always have to create something new as I dont know how to create ebooks or a 20 page report on anything or is there a way to get something to give away?

    Hi Richard
    You've a number of choices.
    1. Look for products with a resale rights licence that allows you to give away
the ebook or report. Be aware, if you're picking it up at low cost or free, the odds are that you won't be allowed to personalize it (add your name as author or add your own affiliate links). You're getting something, probably for nothing, that you can use on a squeeze page (signup page) to have people give you their name/email address in exchange for the product. The people who put the freebie together, will achieve some exposure for themselves or an affiliate product, when you give it away.
There's stacks of good products with giveaway & resell rights at GiveawayVault.com
and the membership is free too.
    2. Spend some dollars and purchase Private Label Rights products which you spend some time on, to make them unique to you. i.e. Change the graphics, add to the report/do a rewrite, put your name as author. It's much, much easier to rewrite something than it is to start with a blank piece of paper! FastPLR.com has some products at really great, low prices which would allow you to see if you're happy with your rewrites.
Wether you decide on 1. or 2. look for products that are within your own chosen niche (you're on your way to becoming recognized as an expert in your field!) and check the product licence for exactly what you're allowed to do with it

    Neil.

    Hi Richard,

you don't have to create something to be able to give it away. There are plenty of free ebooks and software that you can download and give away but you MUST check before doing so.

I am giving away some books that I haven't written.
But you have to decide why you want to do it an always check if you have the right to do it as well.

On one hand I think is a great idea!!!! on the other hand, giving candy for Halloween is a very well established tradition. When kids go out on Halloween they don't expect toys -no doubt they will be thrilled to get them, but they go out expecting candy.

A friend whose hosting several sites which boast of different niches give away free products that are relevant or too close to the subject. There are also times when she’s doing the scrap all by herself. So, I think Neil had just given you a bright idea where to obtain your future giveaways. I might try them out, too!
