Thread: New Product In The Self Help Niche

Hey guys,

I hope everyone is great. My name is Anthony St. Augustine and I just very recently put a product on Clickbank and I am looking for affiliates. The product is for people who suffer from shyness and social anxiety.

This is my very first product. I have test it outside of Clickbank and promoted it alone without affiliates and have had real good success.

I am new to Clickbank and wanted to see the process and so far I am please.
I appreciate if anyone would take a look at my page and critic it. If your an affiliate and are looking for a product to promote, I would love to have you on board.

If anybody has any advise, I am open to that as well. Oh, there is a link to the affiliate page on the bottom of the website.

It's a shame when I saw 'self help', I thought about 'self health' (which is what I'm looking for). Every time I see those words I always get confused lol.

.. and huge niche. I'd say if the products good, you shouldn't have any problem getting affiliates ;)

As a social anxiety suffer, I think this will be very beneficial.

Hi Anthony

A couple of things jumped out at me on both your squeeze page and your sales page.

1) The video has weird transitions where you did edits -- you're not always the same distance or zoom level from the camera. The audio is smooth, but the video jumps and it is a bit disconcerting. You should work at having a smoother transition and maybe keep the distance the same. Or possibly try to make it look like you're switching camera angles or something. A nice background wouldn't hurt.

2) Your grammar is not perfect. I know that this is a nit pick, but you really need to put your best foot forward here. It is possible that English is a second language for you, and I know how hard it is to learn it as a first language 8=) but it would be a good idea for you to get a good proofreader to help you with the grammar (things like "your" vs. "you're").

3) It is hard to see exactly what you're selling. Is it a eBook? Series of videos? Membership site? I think you need to be more clear as to the actual product.

4) On the sales page, your video mentions a limited quantity to be sold. While scarcity is a good sales technique in general, false scarcity isn't. There is no reason for you not to sell as many of these as you possibly can. It doesn't hurt to put a time limit on a sale price or bonuses being offered, but I can't see why you would just pull the entire product. It doesn't make me want to be an affiliate if the product will disappear down the road.

Overall, I think you've done an excellent job of showing the problem your product will solve and the benefit to the potential client. I will definitely keep your product in mind for one of my sites if I develop content in that area.

Thank you for all your input. I will dedicate this week into fixing the problems that you brought up. I agree with you on a lot of your points. This is my first product so I understand that it is a learning process.

As for the product, we need more like this.

There are many people with Social Anxiety Disorder or being painfully in this world. Some confused it with being shy, but that's not it. It goes beyond that.

And there IMers out there who used to be painfully shy as well -- the very thought of putting their face for the world to see or recording themselves for the whole online world to see is quite a scary thought. For IMers who are painfully shy, this can be good as well. Most still want to work in the comfort of their own home, but afraid of phone calls, meetings, etc.

I totally agree with you. There are a lot of IMers who are shy. I now this product will help a lot of folks. This was actually the very first time in front of the camera.

I will be looking into header graphics very soon. Than you for pointing me in the
right direction. I will definitely look into this.

I took your advise and went to Fiverr.com and got someone to redesign my header, you can check it out if you like.

I have a busy weekend. I am re-doing the copywriting a little. I think it could be a bit stronger. All the products are good to go, so I think after I am through with everything, I will really start to push this on Monday.

) I think your box shots could do with pepping up as they are quite plain and I think could be more exciting. Did you brand them yourself? If so which software did you use? We have been using True Boxshot Cover Editor to very good effect, and no I'm not affiliated to that product.

I can show you some of our images made using that software, if it will help inspire you. In fact I'm happy to give you a hand with one or two if you like

When we do video we use a green croma screen and Pinnacle software...that way you can add in whatever background you want afterwards. I totally understand being nervous in front of the camera
