I will guess you are looking alternate ways to generate traffic?

Most marketers use article marketing for a long term traffic to their websites.
It is not only free but it also provides content for your customers to become interested in what you are promoting.

By writing articles using relevant targeted long - tailed search phases (keywords) you should be able to generate a good supply of customers to your site. Post articles on sqidoo, article content sites, blogs, hub pages, forums and wherever else they can be seen. As a rule, the more articles you write the more traffic you will get.

Allow your readers to use your articles as content on their relevant websites "as is" including your resource box containing a link to your website.

Using relevant long - tailed keywords you will not normally get a flood of traffic, but you should get more interested pre sold customers which are better for converting to sales.

Writing Press releases or Newsreleases

Video Marketing using Youtube, Metacafe, Viddler & the many sites out there

Social Networking Sites: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace,Linked in & many more

Traffic Exchanges will do quite well for you if you are teaching people how to advertise

I am quite curious to find out, why do you need help on getting traffic if you are selling an ebook on how to get visitors to your site & advertise effectively.

You can use direct mail as well.

I forget to mention that when you have a decent list size 500-1000, you can do an adswap.

This is when you arrange with another website owner to send you optin page to their list & you also send their optin page to your list

You can try online/ offline word of mouth advertising, call your friends get them to call their friends, mass SMS campaigns, flyers, mailings etc.

Sunny, Refer a Friend is so powerful and practically viral if you get it right.

Just think about it. You get 500 people in the funnel, you incentivise them to provide you with a referral and and you can typically get 50% giving you that referal. So that's 250 added straight back into your funnel. You then take that first paying customer automatically back into your Members Section, and then incentivise them to provide you with my referals, providing say points, vouchers, prizes...and just watch the impact.

You end up with what Mike Filsaime, calls the Viral Coefficient and it takes on a life of its own and just builds and builds your list.

3. Creating blogs to original site.
