Clickbank has more products - true, but also has a lot more affiliates meaning much more competition.
I think that if you found a good product for your niche at PDC - go for it
I have invested a lot of time, experience and knowledge in this FREE ebook.

I could knock both and I could sing the praises of both....as with everything there is good and bad....
there are no perfect affiliate programs...
Biggest plus for pay dot com is they are paypal based...which means no waiting for checks...and as a merchant...it's free
The best thing to do is to try both...do some testing and figure out who you like better...
and no one said you couldn't use both...

With affiliate marketing, it should be about finding the right product for your niche where ever its located and then what support the marketer provides their affiliates. Personally, I find it easier working through PDC with immediate payment through Paypal a major attraction.

Me thinks clickband issue refunds too easily.
I've used CB for a while and have not had a problem with them (though I'm still waiting for my first check). I've also heard of people suspecting that CB are withholding sales from them, as they say they have had over 500 hops but no sales. I guess it would be hard to prove.
I haven't had any experience with PDC, but will look to use them whenever appropriate...
my two cents worth anyway..

they both have their trade offs...
I'd rather find the product that converts and is a quality product
it also depends on your traffic strategy...
if you have a list that like and respect you, then it competitions shouldn't matter...
if your going for search engine or PPC traffic - competition can be good for you to figure out whats working or bad - to time consuming or expensive to promote the product
I am never afraid of the competition, I simply check them out and out market them. If people are marketing a product it means it's selling and I promote products that sell. True gravity isn't everything, but it's a great indicator. I know folks with products with single digit gravity that are doing well, it all depends on the niche.

Paydotcom is just different. It does not have so many products, but it might have a good one for you.
Despite the fact that Mike Filsaime drives me nuts, I have used it.

More of a Clickbank person myself however have to agree with Neil. It's nice when Paydotcom pay straight into your PayPal account. Especially if you're based in the UK and have the hassle of going to the bank with cheque in hand.

I use both. Clickbank has a great deal more products, but there are some gems in PDC. It's the quality of promotion that determines success with any product.
nice answers
I have to agree with some of these replys,Clickbank certainly does issue refunds very easily and mike filsaime does drive you nuts with his sales pitch. As an affiliate i have only used clickbank so far and have found it very usefull,i am a member of paydotcom as well and have yet to test it out.If you are thinking about creating your own products to sell take into consideration that clickbank charges about $50 for every product activation and paydotcom-when you upgrade to a premier member for $30, lets you create unlimited products for the rest of your life.I have to admit that i find clickbank a lot easier to navigate but thats just my personal preferance.
I never looked too close at using Paydotcom for selling my products... But, after I just checked them out I think I will give them a try.
Still, hard to beat the volume of affiliates at Clickbank.

I actually stopped using both to make money from selling affiliate products and have switched all my energies over to "real" products as opposed to info products. It is so much easier to sell physical products and cpa offers than CB products, virtually no presell required, just a bit of factual info about the products, the correct "buying keyword" and bob's your uncle. Ok so I know you asked which you should use but imho if you are serious about making money online then the answer is neither

Interesting. I've gone back and forth on eproducts and physical. I had a run where some physical products sold like crazy, then stopped. So I went back to eproducts.
If you get enough of the right kind of traffic, both sell just fine.
I'd be interested to know your source of physical products. Some have such small commissions I haven't really bothered. I've used DTM Partners for products like AB Circle, but there may be much better sources.

Hi JMT
If you mean where do I get the products from just the usual, Amazon, Ebay, CJ etc
The commissions may be smaller, taking amazon as an example, the majority of my commissions come from people buying other stuff and not the product on my site.
I've come up with Clickbank and it's the one I feel most comfortable with so I'll probably stick with it. Don't have time to go investigate and check out other networks.
