I've heard that you can use "submit" software for press releases -- where you just send it out once and the software submits it to hundreds of sites.

Does anyone know about these or is this just a pipe dream?

    Thanks,

PRblaster is the software your thinking of and i think its outdated as the owner has not updated it........

WeedoGroup: We have been submitting press releases for quite some time now and softwares could not work very well due to the requirements of each company you are submitting it to. You HAVE TO READ the rules for each one as each one has it's own. Due to the lack of quality lists of places to list your press release, we used an intense 3 months to search the internet using various keywords, etc. of places to list a press release and have published it for everyone to use on the internet. We have tried to list the fees they charge also. We personally use this list. If you FIND ANY broken links, please let us know as the marketplace changes periodically and websites go out of business, etc. Go to this list and you will see what we mean:

as we are not an affiliate with any company on this list and it is a researched list only. internetmarketingservicessite.com/press-release-submission-list.html The first time we did a press release it took us an intense 2 1/2 days, the last time we did one using this list, it took us an intense week & 1/2 but it REALLY increases your traffic and is a good way to announce news. Just make sure it is not self-serving and that you write this as a third party viewpoint (such as a reporter). Good luck!

PRblaster come out around 8 or more years ago and maybe at the time it worked like alot of things worked back then but this is now and i do agree with you,

press releases are complex stuff and they need to be set out correct otherwise they are not worth it and some companys charge massive prices for writing them and laying them out and no software on this palnet could do that,

But ive been around a while and know that prblaster was for this very thing back in the day and some still try and claim the name for advertising check it out in google LOL

submitting pad files is no new thing and its getting abit over run, via people making toolbars to get traffic to there web sites.

it desrves its own tread guys this one was for press releases and the great list that "snowflys" provided us

he gathered the info from all over the internet and respect is due....

seams its going abit away from that,

I am going to start using press releases more often... but for anyone who is currently using them, where is your traffic coming from?

Apart of news sites like Google News, are you finding that most of the traffic from press releases are coming directly from the PR site itself, or is it the added SEO benefit that you see more traffic from?

What I mean is, some good press release sites will give your site good SEO backlinks and thus your site might rank higher. Or are people coming to your site from the PR site itself?

    Thanks,
    Joel
I'm a noob so I have to ask, do you really mean like news paper press releases? Where else?

I just started submitting press releases, not sure how much traffic they've generated yet though.

Someone gave me a cool tip though, try posting your press releases or screenshots of them from the different PR sites on your website. Put a section on your site like "XYZ Widgets In the News" or something like that where you put all your press releases, it can really help add authority and credibility to your site.

i have used PR submission to 125+ sites for my site few times & i have seen boost every time.
The traffic is mostly comming from google news but it has boosted overall traffic too.
So i think Pr is still good & better then article marketing.

Chris, Here is a link to a press release I did not to long ago.
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Its just a release thats short and sweet that was really an announcement for my new company. It must be written in the third person like an article you would see in the newspaper without any type of sales pitch.

You make make a quote from a person in the company that gives a more personal view on what you do as well. It must be in quotes too as you will see in mine about half way down the release. It may not be the best release ever but it worked not only for a quality backlink but it did drive traffic to my site and garnered my site recognition from the community.

I also noticed that about 20 different payday lenders took my press release and placed it on their blog as well. At first I thought why steal my release, then for obvious reasons was happy because know I have about 20 plus sites with my link and release all pointing back to mine.
To all my friends here we are offering

You could also Google press release sites and browse around a few different ones. That should give you a better idea of how they are structured.

Keyword optimized Press Release can get to rank on Page 1 of Google , sometimes within 24 hours but it normally can't last staying there longer than 1 week.

You need to submit PR regularly, and consistently if you want to rely on this method.

Usually, good results from press release websites are coming only if you pay for the service. An example would be PRweb. Yet, if you manage to get into google news you might experience significant spike in traffic.

If you looked at our press release website list for submissions at
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
you will find that this list includes the prices they charge. We have personally used both the totally free ones and then we did some with payment to a few of the cheapie ones along with all the free ones. The free ones seemed to just about double our traffic and when we paid for the cheapie ones PLUS the free ones, the traffic seemed to be about 5 times what we had but not only that the effect ran for about 6 weeks or so whereas the free ones seemed to wind down in about 2 weeks. Supposedly, press releases ALSO generate long term back links. It took us about 3 or 4 days to do all the free ones and when we ran the cheapie and the free ones, it took us a little over a week. Comparing all the systems out there and effect of long term backlinks, we have found that IBP seems to have the most lasting effect versus article marketing, press releases, blogs, etc. However, press releases work the fastest along with blogs. It sometimes helps if you know what to expect as to the affect of your work as you can make a logical decision as to where to put your efforts. Only so many hours in a day. Hope this helps.

This is a clickable link. Double click on it and wait (patience - - the page consists of over 400 websites with all the information about each one too). We physically looked at each and every website plus we checked directly with Alexa and Google individually and the information is still fairly 'fresh'. I just clicked the link and it worked for me but it is a bit slow.
