    Question PPC other than Google?

I've started playing with Yahoo and MSN pay per click... I'm just wondering if others have started using them yet?

The first thing I have noticed is just how little traffic they get (or I get from my ads) than if it was Google.

In MSN I've basically maxed my ads and keywords, but am still only getting a handful of clicks a day.

    Thoughts?

Same experience as you but noticed that the clicks that I do get from msn convert better. Adwords was costing me.

I have heard that even though you get less clicks from MSN the ones that you do get convert better. I believe Google accounts for around 80% of the searches on the internet thus they have alot more traffic.

I haven't tried MSN yet, it's on my list, but I started using Yahoo about 3 weeks ago and I find that I get a lot less traffic from them than from google, but I think that is to be expected. I was a little surprised at the cost of yahoo, somehow I had it in my mind that they were less than google, but not case, at least not for me. They were actually a little more than google at first but I notice the CPC has now come down and is basically the same as google.

    Cheers,
    Renae

Never crossed my mind to go for something other than Google, but it might be time to try out the competition.

Google does cover 80% of all the searches, so it is still the best.

The little traffic I got from Yahoo was not good traffic either. Very low converting in my opinion. I have not tried the new MSN yet.

    Hi J,

I have just started running Facebook ads for a one month trial following Ryan Deiss's recommendation.

It's WAY cheaper on the 'impressions' option than Google and much more targeted than anything AdWords can do.

From memory, Ryan quoted a figure of Facebook's page serving impressions being 5 x the size of Google Search. Facebook is the #2 site in the world on Alexa so it could be.

    Worth a look Joel.
