Thread: Best way to attract traffic to your site

hey friends, i am new to the blog world and going to launch my own blog within a week. i want to know about the ways i can attract more traffic to my site. art to this what are the varios ways tht can take my siteto the google`s top seach page. and also please give m the details about the ads site other then google adsense where i can register my site.

I use a variety of techniques to drive traffic to my sites. Such as article marketing, video marketing with youtube. Also setting up social media sites like facebook, twitter, stumble upon, digg etc are a huge part of my traffic sources.

It takes a while for a blog to rank highly on google and you really must do some very strong keyword research first not only for your blog post but for your post titles as well. There are some very education (free) ecourses out there that show you the steps and techniques you will need to learn for blogging.

I am not sure what you plan to do with your blog i.e. sell affiliate products or just to have adsense ads. Remember when you have an affiliate product you are promoting on your blog you make a decent amount of money. Depending on the offer you can make roughly $10-$90 per sale but if they click on your adsense ad then you make only pennies per click. So you can create blogs just for adsense and you can have blogs just for promoting affiliate products or even your own product.

When I started I got a blogger.com blog and that is owned by google. When you sign up there for free by the way, you can set up an adsense account at that time. Hope this helps and if you need more info let us know here in the forum. Good luck!!

I always get good results from article writing and submit my
articles to Ezine Article Directory. It's FREE too.

You need to write an optimized article (but not spammy) and
it should be related to your niche. It's always good to write an
article with tips that will be useful and helpful for the readers.

At your BIO section offer something free at your site for
your readers to visit your site. Don't forget to add the call
to action such as, Visit or Click Here.

Also, your first paragraph and your bio section should be
convincing. Your title should be catchy too.

I use article marketing, video, audio. Submit to social websites using automated onlywire.
Be sure to include a opt-in box to build a subscriber list.

What I do is use all three, plus my own product...I find the best form is PR and "free press release" pay the $1 and gets on there front page and that gets about 500 views in 1 day!

But its all about page rank and linking so an affiliate program will help, this means affiliates will add a link to your site via theres. Article marketing is also good for this.

Could you show me how to do that? What site do you use to get the $1 press release to the front page.

Is it the front page of Google News? Will your article appear in the Universal Search Results for your keyword term with an indentation for Related News Articles?

I'd say YouTube is the best way to get traffic. However, you have to be able to make good videos. Another good way is to optimize your site for search engines. Facebook and similar social network sites are also useful. Using Google AdWords is another way to get traffic but it cost money.

Finally, there are some other methods like article marketing. However, article marketing often gives only small traffic amounts.

I have found that social bookmarking in particular with Stumbleupon and Digg gives you a spike of visitors to your site really quickly. And article marketing can also gets your site into the first page of Google fast. But to sustain the number of visitors and your position on page one needs continuous effort. So keep your traffic generation efforts going with these methods and others like video marketing and forum marketing.

There is nothing quite like AdSwaps and JV Thankyou pages, especially if you are running these one or two days a week to keep the opt ins high.

Our beta tester within EMMC are currently heavily involved with this and their results are amazing. You only have to talk to Garry (Falcon1959) who got 109 opt ins from a 1000 member list with one of his first AdSwaps that we trained him to do.

That conversion is truly staggering.

The problem is when you are targeting adult content. I have several projects, and one of them is adult related, and most of this methods don't work with that, how do you succesfully include adult related links in an article, or stumble or digg or youtube?

I mean, you can include adult related content in stumble for example, they are not going to ban you, but it doesn't have the results it has when you are doing regular article sending for a weight loss blog...

Same with video content, you may include "soft" pictures in youtube, but you are not going to get much traffic from there. Certain niches require some degree of outside thinking...

PR capped, most of the posible sponsors are tagged as "cheap spammers" and you site gets penalty from google, most of the regular traffic generation options dont work, hehe, that's not easy. Suggestions?

I started my list through Article Marketing.

I always submit to Ezine Articles first and if accepted I then publish to about 20 others.
This is because Ezine Articles can be difficult (rightly so) and if they accept your article you should have no problems with the others.

You need to do a bit of Keyword research and use those keywords in the title of your article.

Then make your first paragraph a summary of the whole article. This is to encourage the reader to read the whole of the article. In the summary make sure you use the keywords which you've used in the title and tell the reader how your article is going to help them.

In the body of the article you must deliver. That is, you must give the reader lots of good information which is closely related to your summary and your title. You should also repeat your keywords about once or at the most twice every 100 words or so.

Then in your resource box you can give your URL and include a "call to action" to persuade the reader to click on it and visit your site.

Article Marketing is sometimes described as a "set and forget" method of list building but that is certainly not my experience. You have to keep going and submit as many articles as you can otherwise the number of views will soon become a trickle.

In summary ,Article Marketing can be quite tricky but it definitely works if you get it right!

The site is mediasyndicate.com but they tend to ignore the $1.00 donation now. A $5.00 donation works better, but remember, you are not guaranteed to have your release unless it is properly formatted and a good story. Yes if you do your keywords right, top of Google News listings.

in my Experience,
Social bookmarking,Press Release,Article Submission,Blog comments,forum signatures and blogpost will drive huge traffic + backlinks.

Best way is to post comments on other blogs in your niche. Concentrate on quality comments when commenting on blogs. Leave a link to your blog in the link are. Next write good content in your blog. Good content will then build viral marketing (word of mouth). Read some e books or posts by Yaro Starak a problogger.
