Do any of the Social Networking pages like FaceBook, YouTube, Twitter, etc... Help increase traffic to your webpage or is it a waste of time ?

Which Social Networking sites are the best for this purpose ?

All 3 work well if used properly.YouTube is the best because it's PR is the highest of the 3 and videos go viral more often than tweets or Facebook comments.

I've been noticing recently that I'm picking up some Back links from Facebook as well as a nice bit of traffic. I stopped using twitter as it was annoying me but will go back and set up a account for my website.
I have one 2min Youtube vid up at the moment very low grade and has got me a bit of traffic. ->

If used well Social network site can bring home some big traffic numbers

I prefer YouTube due to the fact that they use DOFOLLOW links which gets you added link juice not to mention traffic. ;)

Iam trying to find out the best way to use facebook. so far i dont see traffic from facebook need some one to point me in the right direction

hi, in answer to your question, yes they do work, although getting your head round them can seem to be a right old minefield. stick with it and it will get a lot easier. you only need to learn something once and then it is just a case of putting it into practice.

facebook is future & agree with The5sisters,
Dont promote your products instead try to build your Brand on this networks.

If you build a relationship of trust with your social networks then when you do have some product to offer sales come naturally.Don't push it.Sell yourself first.

It may go otherwise if u spam ur links through social media. So be careful while using it. I have been getting good amount of back links from digg and stumpleupon too.

Try making a fan page in your desired niche and get it locked to your brand

I think facebook is most usefull in my case. A lot of my target customers use it and it makes they make the most useful traffic for my websites.

Social Media is a great way to get traffic, however it must be done well or traffic will just be flash-in-the-pan traffic. It is important to get your visitors to hang around and come back rather than just click through your site once.
