    Unhappy Google Buzz Marketing

Are you excited about Google Buzz? The marketing world is raving, but all I really see is an excuse to clog up an email account for the sake of creating a copycat Digg or Yahoo Buzz. I will have to say, of all my contacts in Gmail only three actually use Gmail. I do not plan on adding numerous others just for the sake of sharing a link with the same being done with their accounts. I already get 500 emails a day. Google Buzz looses my vote, at least for alternative marketing resources.

If I am missing something here, let me know.

Looks like just another Web 2.0 social site T. May have some value for getting a new site or article indexed but that's about it.

Haven't we all got Web 2.0 fatigue by now anyway - what's Web 3.0, that's the question?

Yes Eric, it looks that way. Bad decision to put it into their Gmail platform. They think of convenience as their bread and butter more than they think of value at times. Convenience is value only to an extent.

Web 3.0 was told to me to become semantic web, however I am only seeing it being connected by the services and devices we use so far. Before it was predicted to become relevancy merged through keywords ... think Google is using it in their algorithm more than anything.

Looks like Google Buzz is just like a personal twitter that allows you to spam the hell out of all your contacts and friends who use GMail.

I can't see that I'll be using it.

    cheers,
    Eric G.

"I can't see that I'll be using it." Me too!!
