this has got my Alexa rank down from 8,5 million to just over 700,000 in just over one month.

Now I understand that with TE's there in no way useful for targeted traffic. I don't expect to gain any sales from them but I have noticed that no one sems to mention them as a option.

I know with Squeeze pages that TE's can be quite effective especially as search engines don't really like them due to lack of content. I have made over 300 sign-up in a month just from TE's with my squeeze page. I will say maybe only 30% of them are actively reading my weekly mail.

Was wonder what peoples options on Traffic Exchanges are and any insights into there workings as a traffic generation tool.

TE sometimes, for a new website it gets listed fast if you do not use a rotator, also is very good to get subscribers if you give something for free. If you want to learn more about TE

TE do work but never rely on them soley for traffic you need to broden your horizens.

The best way to increase any traffic stratergy is Affiliates. Get a huge army of affiliate placing links back to yuor site all over the place!

They are another method to generate traffic,,,,,,,the more traffic the better....

( I know targeted traffic is best)

But all traffic has some advantage to your site.......don't spend too much time on traffic that does not give you conversions....

I have never had luck with traffic exchanges. How many do you have to join before you can see good results?

It depends on what you are promoting....I promote my traffic site and I get 25% opt in this is because it is a traffic site inside a TE so it works.....As people need traffic and people surfing TE are usually after traffic....But i would never promote something not IM related.

If your product is IM related it is down to the best ones, I love warefare traffic and Traffic swarm....
