is twitter still a good source to market as there are more and more spammers who set up accounts just to pitch about their products?

Does anyone know of any cpc programs which can allow links to be posted through twitter? i've come across this method of earning through cpc in twitter through a talk by shaun stenning during a seminar but he never reveal the cpc network. he is trying to promote his software called the twa.lk.

Twitter is a good way to develop a network of possible JV partners. Using it more for networking than marketing is what a lot of people use it for.

TwtAd is a CPC program for Twitter but doesn't pay much per click.

Magpie posts for you to you account at regular intervals.

SocialSpark pays more and you have control but you need to have an approved blog to use the system.

Why not DM twitter.com/ShaunStenning and ask him.

His coaching program is only $4000.000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People are still talking about twitter as one of the best source of traffic, but I wonder if its true though.. I have seen positive and negative posts.

Twitter is equal with micro blogging. It can get you excellence followers. You can’t depend on Twitter to get quality backlinks. Twitter will help you support your site, but it won’t get you backlinks in my opinion.

I think Twitter is an ironic name.
It is often used by Twits.

As has already been said, you can use it for good or bad. Networking is the ideal way.
No single avenue will work for you as you really need to combine many different marketing sources and concepts to build your relationships and then your business.

Twitter must be used correctly in order to achieve your marketing goals. As others have said, Twitter is used a lot for spam and abused. I use Twitter everyday, but more of a way of letting people know what is going on within our market. Going back to what an earlier posted mentioned, it's all about building relationships. People buy products and services from people they trust.

And don't forget that traffic in itself is worthless.
Unless it converts to whatever you want your visitors to do.

Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. This can not be said too many times. Everyone worries about traffic but seems to completely overlook conversions. If you have a system/site that converts well enough, you will find a way to get the traffic, but it does no good to send tons and tons of traffic to an offer that does not convert.

Quality is better than quantity. If you make quality posts you will find people listen to you and react. This is really what you want to accomplish with Twitter. It is not a simple question of the more followers the better.

Can anyone expand on how you build a relationship on Twitter? It seems to be a lot of people throwing mud against the wall and hoping some of it will stick. I'm wondering how to get a meaningful conversation started (which is how any relationship should start) amongst all the constant noise on Twitter.

Or is it more important to only follow people you know or who are within your sphere of influence?

My area is creating wealth for women which is a broad remit so I thought Twitter would be a good area to get some key messages out but it's not easy to know if anyone is listening, especially when people don't respond (other than to post their sales links!).

Any advice please?

In Twitter, you shouldn't directly give the marketing link in the first reply. Try and find out whether the person has any particular need and what exactly the person is looking for ,by having a friendly chat through twitter. Then suggest him/her the particular link.

you can approach to many people who follow you via twitter. Therefore you need to focus on your target audience who is willingly to buy from you. Not everyone will buy from you, some are looking for freebie stuff or information and some are looking around to get a right product to buy. You need to find those people who is willingly to spend the money. Get your targeted list and promote and serve your list with good content. From here, you are building relationship with someone who has potential to buy from you.
