"Who, what, where, when and why" type of search phrases are always surefire ways of creating some incredibly "wanted" products. It is also a great source of ideas for what affiliate products to promote.
On one of my keyword sites, nichekeywordlists.com, the "How to...", "how do I...","how can i...","where to...","where can i...","where do i...","why should...","how should...","where should..." based keyword lists also sell like hotcakes...
This strategy is obviously nothing new, however, it IS one which should be brought up or mentioned every now and again, even if only as a reminder to the more experienced and especially as a "look here" for newbies...
Excellent tip webtester01. Keep 'em coming!
Also, for those skeptical about finding related offers within CB, as Eric pointed out, and can't point out enough... there are many other fish in the sea aside from CB. CB is probably one of the most popular, however, if a product is popular enough to be selling well, there's a 99% chance that someone is offering a commission if someone else refers someone...
It's not always about the obvious.
Sometimes, IM'ing takes a little bit of extra effort. Even if it means finding the product for the person looking for it, then contacting the seller and asking for a finder fee..
I have done this on numerous occasions, on some very high priced items, and you'd be surprised at how MUCH you can make, just for taking a few extra minutes to try to move things in the right direction.
Internet/Affiliate marketing does NOT have to mean "working from home in your pajamas". Sometimes, it pays off to actually do some extra work yourself.
I once helped someone who was selling a plane. I made almost $1000 from the buyer (his "thank you" for helping him find the plane of "his dreams" and another $2500 from the seller as his way of thanking me for getting him in touch with someone who bought his plane (which he swore he said he thought was going to be impossible)...
And all it took was 30 minutes of my time (if that, even)
I realize I have taken this way off subject (sort of), but I just want people to understand that CB (and other popular affiliate sites) are most definitely not the ONLY fish in the sea.
As much money as you can make from them, you can make just as much, if not more, from other sources as well, even those which you wouldn't typically think you could (such as private sales)...
If you find something people are in need of (or simply WANT), take a few extra minutes to really dive in and help the buyer out... you will most DEFINITELY be rewarded for your extra effort...
