Some simple tactics for newbies

Here are some simple tactics you should always use in your marketing campaigns.


Use a unique website to promote each separate product you are marketing. Don’t lump them all together on one website. It’s best to focus on each product individually this way potential buyers won’t be overwhelmed.


Offer free reports, an eBook to visitors to your website. This is used to entice visitors to your website. It’s important you position them somewhere prominent so it can’t be missed.


Only direct targeted traffic to your website that’s aimed at the particular product on that website. If the traffic you send to your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will simply move on and never come back.


These tactics help me when I was starting out. Hope you find them useful.

I would like to add a small tip if I may that has worked for me.

Do videos

Just simple ones at the start. You can use a free screen recorder called Camstudio. Just search for it in Google to download it.

I started out by just doing screen videos of my website telling the reader what it was all about and what valuable information they could get from it.

Once I got comfortable with that I did do one video of myself personally talking about a website. Haven't mustered the courage to do that again yet.

But have started to learn a video editor that came with my operating system. Found some good free video backgrounds to use and throw in a few text title pages and they have worked well.

Just upload to Youtube and place the right tags. Dont forget a link or two back to your website in the description.

Have gotten some great targeted traffic this way and videos are very popular these days.

I have a question if i choose to be an affiliate for a website selling ebooks. I find them on clickbank and I make a webpage to promote their product how does the website from clickbank know that it was my website that sent the customer to them that bought there product. Do I embed a link to their site on mine like a button that says like "Buy now" and it will direct them to their page to place the order.

Once you sign up with click bank, you will be given a affiliate link with a special code embedded in it that only belongs to you.

So once someone click on your affiliate link, click bank will automatically know that you were the one who referred them(the person who clicked on the link)because of the special code that only belongs to you.

keith's right but to add too that, once someone visits a site with your affiliate link a cookie is left on their computer. It stay on their computer for several weeks so if they don't buy on their first visit but go back a few times then buy. It's your affiliate link that's used so you get the sale.

if i have to make a fresh start this is what i would do
1) pick a niche exam: dog training
2) read articles on the web ( learn as much you can)
3) watch video's, also join forum's related niche( dog training)
4) create a website based on good keyword( use Google keyword tool)
5) write articles about dog training which you already know
6) give out some good tips and tricks to your visitors
7) Find a nice product on clickbank or CJ.
8) i recommend you to buy it and study the product
9) make a review site or a site based on the niche and promote the product
10) write few good bits and some negative bits about the product so people will trust you and will be convinced to buy product from you
11)once they trust you, they will come back to you in future for more service.
