Newbies Just Stay Focused

I agree - focus is critical. I probably reject on average four or five "opportunities" for training, new products, affiliate links, or other distractions in my in box every day.

My post was a long winded way of saying there are two paths in this business these days for someone starting out, one is simpler than the other. However I readily agree that no matter which road you take it is littered with distractions. You are 100% on that savvy marketers exploit people's apparent need for novelty.

you know when I first introduced myself someone had said. this is the only forum you need. I agree. people are helpful ( thank you, by the way for all the advice) I feel like I found somewhere to go for the answers I have.

I agree that folks are mostly friendly here and I like that. I must confess I wish people would use their names, at least their first names. Not sure why folks are so reluctant to do so.

I understand the whines of some people about how to get things right. It also happened to me. I knew then that I got all the best ideas, I have already depicted the scenarios in my mind but then I didn’t know when, where and how to start. Often, I asked myself, why it is happening. Then, I tried to slow down, take things one at a time and making sure not to cease developing my skills. Be patient. Things will fall in their own place at the right time.

Earlier up the thread building your list was mentioned...

This is sooo important...
We are in the business of building relationships and not sales.
The sales come after.

Making money upfront in this business is not the way to think.
When you build a list of subscribers to a newsletter for example...you
have a list of people you can create a relationship with, and then
and only then should an offer be shown to them.

One step at a time...and the first step is definately not profits...oh I wish it was.

When I first started out I found myself going in every direction...going to webinar after webinar all I got was a BRAIN FREEZE!

Once I found a mentor that knew more than me and is successful...I gained huge strides in my online business...I have never looked back...I really never attend webinars anymore..I hang out with just a few IM experts not the ones you hear about...but behind the scene's making BANK!

Just do SOMETHING EVERY DAY. It’s not rocket science, and it’s not hard. Many of the most successful businesses and people in the world have figured out how to do something very simple that makes them money. And they do it over and over and over again. It doesn’t need to be groundbreaking or hard. It just needs to work. And this does.
