What is it you want to do exactly?
If its just reading, writing and exporting, Office Org which is free will read, write and convert your documents.
Its also a very good program and is the equivelant to MS Office.

I got a new one today called cutePDF so far seems nice enough just sets itself up as a printer option. you print your file choose ctepdf as the printer it saves a simple pdf file nothing fancy but free

I tend to use Foxit Viewer, available at foxitsoftware's site for free (viewer only, editor costs a bit). It's very easy and loads faster than Adobe Reader. Also I recently tried Xpert PDF Viewer, and found it was much the same, also fast loading.
