    Eric...
I have been using SEs for years to find all sorts of information.....
And I do not find such a high percentage to be trash.....

I also included a disclaimer...to avoid "hype".....and that "some" is pretty good...

Jim - Having limited funds may actually help you succeed in IM.

I recommend you take a look at a website - potpiegirl dot com

She was in the same shoes you were around 3 - 4 years ago - last year she made $154,000+ profit.

My advice - do an honest assessment of your strengths. Find a way to start making a few bucks - the obvious ways most people do this: Article writing (you should easily be able to make $5 per article), you can get free websites/blogs in many places, ezinearticles is free.

Learn how others have/are using free sites to direct to affiliate offers to bootstrap their business.

    I was offering one opinion......
After all these years I can figure it out...I have six domains and three different hosting accounts....
    Thanks anyway......I appreciate you input....

I'm Sorry to hear that Mr. Like... I would recommend to evaluate your current strengths and leverage off them through online JOBS... Here's 3 I found @ Click Bank... no they're not affiliate links.

Right - as others stated always look at your strengths (make sure you are objective though)

I recommend doing a search on youtube for "bum marketing" or as 1 word - take a look.

Isn't life great that you have limited funds at 61 when you should be enjoying the rewards of a liftimes work. Be careful not to spend thousands in thinking you will be fast tracked into success. But with that said, with the right teaching, you'll have more fun watching money come in whilst you are at home then you ever thought possible if you do it right.

There are different business models and an investment in time and also money is needed. You will be learning a new skill. 61 isn't too old, my oldest student is 71 and he created his first dvd product and started selling straight away. He has now expanded his old working skill he had when he was young into a home business where he renovates furniture and sells them online.

It's not all about ebooks and digital downloads, you can turn a hobby into an income using the internet as well. Choose your path possibly with something you know something about if it has a good buying market.

Spend some time learning at the free resources others have posted here and elsewhere in this forum, find the right strategy and most importantly, stick to it!!

Honestly, the best advice I repeatedly failed to take (like probably a large portion of internet marketers) is to just "put the blinders on, focus and march ahead". The more involved you get in this business, the more lists you get on, the more distractions there are.

You have to try to resist the constant barrage of sales pitches for courses, products and so on that promise to be the next best thing since email. Just pick something and see it through.

    Anyway, good luck!

This forum could be a great resource for you, WarriorForum too.

    A little hint!!

Video marketing on youtube could be an interesting method, I worked for me when I first started since I didn't have cash to invest in my business, I got immediate results (conservative $$ tought) but, with the months, I started to have real job replacement income and the best part, youyube marketing is 100% free, you can find great free resources and tools to start in a little budget or even no budget

Really Jim, telling someone to "Go And Search Google" for this sort of information is pretty useless advice in this situation, and 99% of what he'll find is crap.
I would have thought with your experience that you could come up with something a bit more constructive than that.

I think that say "99% of the IM information you'll find on google is crap" is 100% wrong, there is alot of great information but.... YES the skills to know what good and what's crap is where the real problem is.

Checking this kind of forums could be a little better idea.

    that's absolutely correct!!

Don't fall on the hype about ebooks, clickbank etc, etc.

They're great, but not the only way to make easy money online.

Checking your actual skills, (you're 61) I bet you have some great knowledge and skills gained over the course of your life that you can monetize online..

There are lots of forums you can get this information, some of them will give it for free, some others will charge you a little. One thing you don't want to do is get in the buying trap that most of the gurus would like you in.

Once you are on their list they will sell, sell and sell some more until they bleed you dry.

    Hi There,

It is important to remember when starting out, that there are many forums, like this one where you can get valuable information, I personally like to learn visually so I did the
course through Chris Farrell, which is free, you only pay if you opt into the 24/7 backup package.

To be successful on the net, you need skills, there are a lot of automated programs out there, making some obscure claims, but the bottom line is that this business is no different to any other, you need some basic skills

    I hope this helps

    Regards
