Default the list is the thing?

The money is in the list is what we are constantly being told.

this is all very well but you must be aware that having a gigantic list does not mean you will get the business. Sure you will have some success, but this is more of a scatter gun approach, and not as rewarding or profitable as a list of hungry buyers who will be buying from you when you have built your relationship with them in your chosen niche.

The list you build needs to be a list of targeted, hungry people. within your niche that will buy and buy again.

There are plenty of list building strategies that you can use, and also you are in the right place to find out what you can about all of this and many other aspects of online business.
luck to you and keep with it, its fuuuuuuuun!!!

Along with developing a relationship I think you must be trustworthy.

I have several email accounts to weed out the list builders, to see who is a peddler or a honest to goodness marketer.

To many times I may get a few good emails from someone then all of a sudden emails and emails come from launch after launch. I don't think I am the only one here who feels the same we are tired about this.

I tried this once with a list I have cultivated trust and was told to cut it out or else they are gone.

So now my list only gets emails from me that promote good honest products and techniques I produce.

So when they see my emails they know its not the latest promotion floating around.

I have developed a trust factor with them and they are rabid buyers as a result.

So in my opinion trust comes first when developing a relationship with your list

I agree with you Ed. It's better to have a smaller quality list of trusting people than a large list that get and give nothing but spam.

Having a list in IM is very important but quantity does not matter most, it’s the quality. It’s like having a number of friends. It’s best to have a few others than a long pile of pretentious, hypocrite people. Pardon me, just going through tough time today.

    It is true,
A high quality list of 100 people is much better
than an untargeted list of 10,000.
