Thread: Can I use existing sites for IM

I'm new to the forum and have been browsing the threads to pick up some ideas. I 've located a lot of great information but I want to take baby steps to get where I want to be. Some time ago, I bought 85 sites in an eBay auction. I've been messing around with them but not making much headway. Can someone look at a couple of my sites and let me know if I have the beginnings of something here or do I need to start from scratch? I will purchase domain names and already have hosting for my blog, so I'll continue to use that. For now my other sites are sub-domains. Please look at

You're doing OK. However, the main thing you must do when purchasing readymade sites is to ensure you have personalized all the links for the advertisements on the pages ie Adsense, Clickbank, Amazon etc.

There have been instances where there are two different Adsense areas on pages but you're only told where to change one of them!!!

You can use any of these sites for IM but you won't get far with this bundle unless you make the sites your own by editing the PLR and do some serious promotion. If I were you I would convert all the PLR over to Wordpress sites and monetize accordingly with AdSense , Amazon and ClickBank. I bought a smaller bundle similar to yours when i first started online and got nowhere with them. I now run self hosted WordPress sites exclusively and have never looked back. The great thing about WordPress is that you can make them unique and they are highly Optimized for the search engines.

The best way to become successful is to find one thing and focus on that. Trying to do too many things at once will leave you feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.
Work out what you're most passionate about and start from there.
Focus is the way to find true success and it isn't a fast road.

Sometimes I ask myself that as well. Actually, I was just looking around to make some money on the internet and came across the auction during my research. I never really expected to win and was really just messing around to become familiar with eBay. I won the auction and paid $9.95. I guess the price should have told me something but I figured out of all that there had to be something I could use.

I agree with this, I would never have time for 85 websites lol !

Also as someoen said above you really need to personalise and write all the content yourself, although it depends how you are going to use them in marketing.
