Question Any Hostgator or Namecheap users here?

I have seen a lot of reviews on both of these services, but before I go ahead and purchase any packages, I'd like to know the experience of anyone here who've used them. Thanks!

I only use Hosthead and only have minimal problems with them.

I've been a Hostgator user and also one of their re-sellers for many years and very happy to recommend their services. Their support desk is excellent - in fact only yesterday they very quickly fixed a hosting problem with a new site we're developing.

I use both NameCheap and HostGator. NameCheap is user friendly and makes purchasing your domain names extremely simple. With HostGator, they have been an amazing host for me and their customer service is nothing less than excellent. I highly recommend both companies.

I'll say ditto on Hostgator. I use a dedicated server with Hostgator and the experience is a very positive one. One of the reasons that Hostgator rules is their size. Generally, someone has had your problem before you and so, if you run into a problem, they have already fixed it for someone else so they know the solution to your problem immediately.

I've had a Hostgator reseller plan for years with no problems at all. Great customer service and always there to help me when I get in a jam!

My first hosting account was with Hostgator. Their live help is wonderful. I never approached them with a problem they could not solve for me. And a couple of the problems were very technical, not just newbie inexperience.

I also now use only Namecheap to buy new domains. Unfortunately most testimonials about any domain seller are about how LITTLE trouble you have with them compared to GoDaddy. Now, I'll admit that GoDaddy has some useful services but for the most part they are just a royal pain in the A**. And it's unfortunate that all other domain registrars seem to be rated by how much less trouble they are than GD.
Namecheap is just a great company. They're not just less bad, they are excellent.

    Why didn't you say so?
There's a support group for that.

HostGator are second to none and Namecheap are as the name suggests one of the cheaper places to buy domains. Have bought about 10 from them now and always been happy. They have a special offer on until then end of the month as well.

I used hostgator for a long time, and their service is excellent, which I appreciate. Namecheap I can't say anything about.

I use hostgator to host a few domains. My only quirk with hostgator is the basekit web builder addon that comes with the business hosting plan. The files get corrupted sometimes but the tech support on this issue has been great. Hostgator even gave me a couple months of hosting free for all my trouble.

I haven't heard of namecheap. Is that for purchasing domain names? I use network solutions.

I use Hostgator and Namecheap. I have had great service from both of them which is important. Namecheap have a monthly newsletter that gives coupon codes and any other news and discounts that may be of interest.

I use both services and they both work great for me. I haven't had any problems at all. In fact, I've had people ask what hosting service I was using because it loaded my site so well and fast.

Crystsutt. If you are looking to start with hostgator drop me a pm. We can get you some very low prices with them.

In fact there are two options.

One is that you can use our skype name, which you can see in my sig, as a discount coupon and get 25% off your package.

The second is that you can buy through us as we are now a re-seller of Hostgator and can setup packages for our clients. Always lower price than HG themselves
