I know there are many way\'s to increase traffic to your website but what is the most successful way? Is advertising offline a good way?

Any help would be great.

Ryan Deiss is now promoting Facebook Ads as a much better and cheaper alternative to AdWords.

Worth a look.

By using video I was able to get 4,000 visits a day for 5 consecutive days to my site. Google AdSense however paid me for only 4 of hundreds of clicks ... so I don't use AdSense anymore on my main site, sticking to sales. The videos were all with no sound and made with Windows Movie Maker (free). I did use one monthly paid submission program though and it submitted to about 10 sites. The videos were simple historical facts ... one fact per video. Cheesy, but generated a ton of traffic.

Why don't I just continually just do this over and over again? Well, kind of busy with so much more. One day maybe I'll hire someone to do it all for me in the excess that I had done. I think I did about 50 videos in 5 days.

A few of the guys are promoting Face book and Gmail with the theory that the traffic and CTR is much higher targeted quality.

I have to say, Paul and I tested these strategies some time back - they just do not pull and are a waste of time, certainly at present.

I think the new article video robot site may catch on for those who want to get into videos it can turn text into something like a power piont presentation with vioce over.

You need to develop an organic SEO strategy both Onsite and Offsite, incorporate an element of PPC and then the traditional article, directories, PR and Adswaps and you will build a list...providing what you have to say is worth reading/watching (Video).

I constantly use Ranking Today for free seo tools and I have found that blog commenting and submitting artcles has been my best way of getting Back Links

The net is made up of two things: Content and links. The more of both you get out there, the better your rankings will be. Relevancy also plays a factor.

I also find real world advertising to be helpful. There are a lot of people who do not pay attention to web advertisements but do respond to ones they see in newspapers, billboards, and the like.

Good quality and regular content and many backlinks are a good start!
