I recommend Hostgator! It has an easy to use c-panel and all the space you need.

I use Hostgator, never had any major problems but they do have a great support system even though I am based in the UK that has never been an issue.I also use Namecheap for domains as I found GoDaddy just to messy and complicated to navigate when I first started.Perhaps some of the more experienced guys in the forum explain to me why hosting seems to be so more expensive in the UK.

SEO for SME's in the Midlands
I have several domains and sites hosted at GoDaddy. Never had a problem with either domains or hosting; had a problem with a tech person once, but the supervisor was more than helpful.
I haven't used HostGator, but have several friends and clients who do and they are happy. BlueHost is also highly recommended.

Cheers

bluehost provides rock solid stable servers. I had a few VPS with them and all worked without any down time at all. Their tech support is good but last I checked they didnt have live chat.

Will also vote for Hostgator & Namecheap.
Namecheap interface is really easy to use and managing your Domains
I use Go Daddy to purchase domains, hosting, and setup emails all in the one place. They're cheap, reliable, 99.9% up-time, and I found their support team very helpful when I initially got started and wasn't 100% sure of what to do. Now because I have so many domains and hosting accounts setup through them, I don't see the point in going anywhere else.
Saying that, I've been curious to give HostGator hosting a go because I've seen a lot of good reviews on them. On a side note... I've made quiet a few sales as an affiliate through HostGator, bagging $50 per customer without even trying too hard which is better than a kick in the ar$e.
I was considering becoming a hosting reseller through HostGator but I heard that's a tough market to crack.

GoDaddy for domains and either Bluehost or HostGator for hosting; both are pretty reliable, inexpensive and offer good support.
Simon

This is my combination....
Namecheap.com + Hostgator (or BlueHost)
Number One, godaddy is very sensible to spam, a few reports and you can get in troubles with them and... Namecheap offers FREE privacy for who is, that means no body can figure out your domains arsenal and discover some of your online marketing strategies.
Additional, hostgator offers a One Cent trial, for 1 month, that's amazing to test a service.
That's right!! In my experience, keeping a barrier between hosting and domain providers is highly recommended.

I use hostgator. I have never been disappointed by them. There service is great. But when looking to choose a hosting company, like mentioned above, it depends on where you live. But more importantly, check them out before you actually sign up with an account. For example, I call their customer service at various times of the day to see how busy and how fast they answer my call. I ask a couple of generic questions to get some idea how they are towards their customers. I also make sure they have phone support. There are many companies that only offer email support, but what happens if you have a server problem in like, say the middle of the night and you need to talk to someone. That is a big thing for me.
I also personally go on a month to month basis. I don't like being locked in for a year or two to get a couple of bucks off the price per month.
But don't put all your web properties on a single IP account. If you have lots of websites, you may want to have 2 or 3 hosting accounts with different IP addresses or simply buy another IP from the hosting company.
for domain registration, gandi.net is a good registrar, for hosting you can use hostgator or fatcow.
Whatever company you choose, before you buy your domain name or hosting (I use godaddy for domains and hostgator for hosting) Go to google and type in the company name and the word (promo code) so if I was buying a domain at godaddy, by typing in "godaddy promo codes" into google, you will find promo codes that will allow you to get a discount on your products.
If you are planning on buying loads, you'll make savings by doing this.
In my area, I use CitéGlobe now Netelligent.
Have been using their services for many years and I think they rock!
Worth giving them a try.
