    Hi Bill,
Great article writing tips. Over the Christmas holidays I read "The Ultimate Sales Letter" by Dan Kennedy......an excellent read I would highly recommend.
I soaked up Dan Kennedy stuff before I thought to try IM. His Ultimate Sales Letter really walks you through composing the "long-form" sales letter.

In time, I figured out this appears to be the the primary format used for IM sales pages.

As I get further into composing my own IM sales pieces I believe I'll be going back to Kennedy for both inspiration and instruction. (And I won't have to read it on a monitor!)

    Best of luck,
    Phil

You will need to buy more printer ink.
Long sales letters work for many products and services, true enough .However a great landing page leading to a shorter sales page can make more sales without hype nor FCC headaches.

I like the article, I will keep a copy for my files.
I am not sure a bio needs to be that long, especially for some types of articles, but I will try to do some testing on my article site and see which gets more clicks.

The bio is always that long by Jay.He owns Article Niche among many other enterprises and frequently writes articles to help out other entrepreneurs.
A bio half that size is more than enough for you and I.

    Bill,
That makes sense. I used to have those long bios for some articles, but my CTR was very low. I still may modify one and see what happens.

There is no doubt that the long form sales letter is still the staple diet of direct mail, online and offline and it has been since the early 1900s.

Video is growing and you folks know I love it. But a combination of video and medium forum copy is also starting to appear.

Both work, but video will still take some time to get fully embedded as a primary marketing tool. But Paul and I love challenging the sacrosanct.

Since article marketing works, it is always beneficial to read new tips and techniques to make articles even more popular.

There's no way even the most experienced marketer couldn't learn something from this thread. THANKS!

Article Marketing works...its just as simple as that...it is not a magic bullet, requires, thought, creativity, effort as all the elements of building any business offline and online do.

But add Article Marketing to Organic SEO, Adswaps of all varieties and PPC in all its guises and you'll be on your way to a fully blown healthy business.

Thank you Bill for your offer. Is keyword finder basically the same as keyword warrior? I have it and love it. Also use the blog and forum warrior regularly. They have all worked wonders for me. Patience is required because you have to spread your research over a few days sometimes, but it is worth it and only takes a little planning.

I answered that in the 1st page of this thread ,so if you want some keyword finder tools that are free ,other than the Google one, then PM me.The ones I have are not as powerful as some expensive alternatives ,but after all I am giving them away for free.

    Great offer Bill.

Folks there are a range of tools....remember Paul handles the SEO for over 500 top blue chip customers around the world like Paramount Pictures and he and his team still use the good old Google basics of their own keyword tool...

Those who want more...there are many....MNF (Micro Niche Finder), Noble Samarai, WordTRacker, Terapeake

Time Zones.I worked all of "my" night and just got home. It's 6:24 AM here at the moment.

Google undoubtetly has great tools, many of them hidden to people who don't fully understand the power of Google search within Google itself. My offer of keyword tools is merely a little extra for those who want something a bit different than what Google provides ,and are on a limited budget. You can't beat free.As usual ,though, when people see it is free ,few feel it is of any significant value and don't accept the offer.Look at the Freebies Category in this Forum. Most members ignore that category as well as the Member's Lounge.I had offered a free copy of a valuable book and only 2 people read the thread.

Thank you so much for posting that Bill. Half the battle for me is figuring out 'what' to write about within a subject. Obviously we know that we need to give the reader the information that they are searching for but how to figure out what that is is something I hadn't quite got to grips with - until a few minutes ago anyway!

Sometimes it seems I have read the information in other places and other ways but it doesn't quite click in to place. Perhaps it's because of the very thing that you, Donn and Eric have talked about before, reading/getting information before you are ready to use it. I find when I'm ready for it, that's when it'll make sense!
    Have a great day! Helen

Try writing an article that asks questions as if in a survey and ask your readers to comment with questions of their own or what they would like to see in an article on your blog.
Come to think of it,isn't that what the March competition in this forum is all about ?

Yes Bill, those are great ideas.

I haven't looked into the March competition very much. Instead I am making the most of the few hours I get doing this working on my EMMC membership from the Feb competetion. I'm thrilled to bits!

I'm trying to make sure I don't overload myself as I have done so many times before. I am remaining focused on pretty much one thing!
