Thread: Sales Letter Copywriter needed

Hello

Does anyone know of a good sales letter copywriter that will not cost the earth?

I saw Mark Andrews excellent post here and have emailed him but need to get further quotes.

I know about posting the project on Elance and Guru but personal recommendations are always best.

How much do you intend to budget for the letter?

Mark Andrews (whom I have not had a reply from) was offering letters from $200 in his post. I have pitched the quotes in the "under $250" bracket on Gugu. I have seen a few copywriters on other forums offering letters at about this price. Will I get a decent letter for this price?

I have bought the license for 8 DVD's in the Internet Marketing niche. There is a sales letter with it but I want to have it rewritten and I want to rebrand the videos. I need suggestions for a title too.

I took a look at the sales letter you are currently using... It will do decent, but is full of hype in areas where it needs no hype.

Are you needing just a copy edit of this sales letter to help it perform better? Or, are you needing a complete rewrite (start to finish... completely redone)?

I want to make it substantially different from others who are using the same letter. I think this means a rewrite.

My apologies Sandy not getting back to with
reference to the sales copy request.

As regards my copywriting fees, I've recently
put them up, now charging a minimum of $3k
per sales letter.

Each piece of sales copy including research
takes a minimum of 40 hours and it's simply
not feasible to charge in the hundreds of
dollars range anymore.

Too, I've been extraordinarily busy lately not
only copywriting but also working on a range
of new project and product releases.

I hope you find a copywriter who can assist
you with your copywriting needs.

It is not easy to find some one to do a good sales letter for $250.

Folks, if a copywriter is cheap, I very much doubt the copy will do the job.

Top copywriters are always booked well in advance, they are expensive and take AGES - but that's the way they operate as a breed.

When you start out you need to learn the craft yourself and as you climb the ladder of success, you need to find one, work with them, keep them and appreciate the immense talent they bring to the table.

You couldn't be further from the truth
or more wrong if you tried.

It has absolutely everything to do with
their talent.

It takes a long time to fully understand
why people buy, buying psychology etc
and how to put this into writing.

To create true gravity pulling sales
copy, salesmanship in print is a skill
which takes an incredible amount of
hard work and effort.

If a copywriter can create a very
high income or profit for you in an
extraordinarily short period of time,
that requires great skill and expert
knowledge.

To suggest that we should only be
paid for our time is pardon me for
saying so, complete codswallop.

I agree with Mark.
I consider myself to be an excellent article writer, but I know I am not a strong copywriter and I don't market myself as such.
Either way, it is not just time. Even with articles, I see people offer to write them for 50 cents and you get an article that reads as though a monkey wrote it.

If you want quality, you need to either be prepared to pay for quality or do it yourself.
