Pretty straightforward to get your head around it and good themes are readily available for it.

Thanks for that Eric, I didnt get my original message across right, I had already googled it and there are loads of tutorials, just wondered if anybody had used any and what was the best.
Also you can download Thesis, for $164, is this a good investment or would you go with the multitude of free wordpress themes.

All depends what design changes you have in mind.
Eric does installations for others and sets up Word Press the way it should be.So pick a theme,possible headers,color scheme,etc.and ask Eric what he would charge.
Thesis is a relatively good investment but personally I think there are better free themes to choose from and you won't go wrong with Eric's help.
