can someone provide a link to a site teaching basic CSS and HTML here? I find that it is very helpful to know some basic coding when building websites so that you can truly understand what is going on on your website.

Hi Simon here's one I have referred to a few times and favourited. it looks a bit clunky but I've never felt I needed to find another.

and it leads through the various hierarchies of where and how to use the sheets. It doesn't go into the "inner game" of coding the pages too deeply, so I suspect it might be just what you are looking for.

I still think wordpress is the besto for beginners, the combination of click n install and the bunch of resources online makes it a great deal, didn't I mention the FREE plus?

I find W3Schools a pretty good choice to learn both the basic html, as well as advanced.

They have been around for years and offer hundreds of specifics examples that any newbie can easily integrate into their own projects.

Thanks for the resources. I am not bad with html but sure get confused quickly when using CSS....Always something to learn isn't there.

i'm still an old school guy using dreamweaver for a few pages of static html
but nowadays its wordpress for the hundreds of posted articles
