Thread: How to build a website

How do I build a website? Well first of all you need a web editor, some you can buy.

The one I use and recommend is kompozer which you can download and its FREE.

You need to deside on what nitch to go into could be your hobbies and interests.

Once you have chosen your market, think of a domain name. A name that would be related to your subject matter.
The next thing is a hosting company, one's I recommend are Godaddy & hostgater.

If you do not want to build one from scratch, just Google "Free Templates".Or a simpler way is to find a product with the rights passed on and adapt the salespage to your own ends,i.e. new "buy now" button or new "opt-in" box.

Or simply use Wordpress. It can be set up to look and act more like a regular site as well as a blog. You can change themes when you want and there's a lot of plugins and widgets to add to functionality.

I have been in computers since 1977 and building html websites since 1997. I programed for many years, know html, php and css.

Why am I stating the above?

Because with all of this knowledge, now, I only build WordPress sites.

With WordPress, you can create a blog or a static page. But, more important, the many things it does like SEO, pings as many places as you enter.

I have a theme that has Adsense built in. Just enter your Adsense code.

Google love WP sites and crawls them faster.

You enter all new content from the website, no FTP.

With a little knowledge of CSS, you can change a standard theme to one of your own design.

There are many other reasons to use WP as the need arises.

Try WordPress, you won't regret it.

MIHIRA is an Administrator and can edit anything he wishes.He was referring to the signature link because the post was an affiliate link self promotion.This is not allowed in the main forum under normal circumstances.

Anyway, I agree Wordpress is amazing....

It is not suitable for everything....if you want a big membership or admin powered site then it has its limits. But for a multi page with landing squeeze etc...very easy to set up, add functionality and looks terrific.

I definitely second that. Wordpress is free, can be made to do and look like whatever you want. Once you have learned the basics, you can have a Wordpress site up and running in a few minutes.

There is another advantage to Wordpress, too - Google loves it. I usually find Google is crawling all over a Wordpress site even before I have finished the initial setup.

I got this for my domain name process, now i got the best web design format also... You too try this for the best web site builder...

Exactly.It was not a signature link but a link inside the post ,acting as a signature link.Even Moderators can only do that under rare circumstances when a comment and a link are entirely relevant to the thread or topic being discussed.Otherwise the privilege is reserved for the Affiliate Advertising and the Sell-Trade Categories of the Forum.
